Is there anyway that I can change from Spacebar to LShift or Escape? I changed my use/cover/sprint to LShift, and now other mods are not working. If I leave that key bind to Spacebar, then it will select an option, even if I don't want it to.
Which mods are not working? I never had an issue setting use/cover/sprint to LShift when playing myself. I think it's a bit complicated to change yourself, but I'll make an optional version with smth than Spacebar when I can (bit too many things IRL at the moment).
"If I leave that key bind to Spacebar, then it will select an option, even if I don't want it to." Well no, with this mod, you skip with spacebar and select option with mouse. Spacebar won't select any dialog option (whether it's set as use/cover/sprint or not).
Combat Evade Manuevers is the mod that won't work when I change the key binding in game to LeftShift. When I changed it back to Spacebar, I tested on a cutscene and when tapping Spacebar, it selected a dialogue. Mouse was not even touched at the time. I am trying to update the key binding with Combat Evade Manuevers so that I can see if I can change it to another key. And no worries! I will figure out how to work with it. IRL is more important than anything else. Thanks for the quick response!
Are you able to make a version for the ME2 Classic for the "SkipSafe" only? If not, since most ppl prefer the "Legendary" version (and i understand why), could you post what you changed so i could try to replicate for the classic version (if thats ok ofc).
btw, the "SkipSafe" option works flawless. Amazing work. I m only sad that this mod didnt appeared sooner for my other 300 replays of ME :p
Thanks a lot for the comment, glad it works nicely for you, and sorry for the long delay in creating it ;)
I will probably at some point go through my mods and see what can be ported to OT with reasonable/minimal effort. These would probably be good candidates. But well, not sure when.
Until then, if you're feeling adventurous, you can decompile the m3m file by drag/dropping it onto mod manager. It might be as simple as changing the target game in the json and in the moddesc. But emphasis on might. It's perfectly fine if you do this (or any other tweaks/adaptations) for yourself. Not publish it though.
i am already on the "adventure" mode :p , as i am used to this kind of editing (Direct Edits), just not the modmaker that you already pointed me what i had to do.
And yes, i have zero interest in publishing (no personality for that), and i wouldnt do without permission anyway. It is just for self use. So you can be relaxed in that aspect.
If you decompile the m3m like I wrote, you'll get a json file, which is basically a structured list of direct edits to be made in a basegame file (here in SFXGame.pcc iirc). You can just follow these instructions and do the same edits manually. Most of those are scriptupdate, with the modified script in a .uc file, which is just plain text and you can copy/paste it in the Script Editor window of Package Editor. If the corresponding OT and LE scripts are identical, there's a good chance it will work... otherwise they may need to be adapted.
I'm also having the issue with dialogue being skipped after interacting with a door. I don't know how the skip more option works, so for now I'm going to use the skip safe option + binding the SloMo command to another key in BioInput.ini. Other than that, good mod.
Thanks! Well yes like I wrote on the mod page, there is absolutely no way to avoid that issue if Use and Skip are bound to the same key. I always swapped LeftShift and Spacebar, so LeftShift is Use/Cover/Sprint, and Spacebar is Command HUD/Skip like in the first game, and so I don't have that problem at all. But I suppose I could at some point make a version of the mod that binds the skip to something else than spacebar.
For anyone: Can confirm this mod which states LE2 in its title also work for LE3. Just import/install in ME3Tweaksmod in LE2 and it still works in LE3 even it isnt listed in LE3. But the very beginning is for a big part not skipable, after the Reapers crashed in the human council room we can finally begin with skipping (some) part from that moment. I did try another LE3 skip mod (which claims 10x more faster) but it acts the same as this and i dont want double mods which actually do the same and try to keep my modlist short.
Mod manager can detect cracked versions, but doesn't do anything against those. However, some mods or some functionalities of mods simply don't work with cracked versions. This will be the end of that discussion here, since it has nothing to do with my mod. The .dll not found was another issue afaik, which should be solved now.
Well there may be some parts that can be skipped or fast-forwarded, but there are still movies etc. that can't be skipped. I did what I could do without touching the individual files and without forcefully removing anything.. But you should check this mod.

Thank you again for the pointers.
Other than that, good mod.
This one (for LE2) doesn't work on LE3, but the LE3 version is here.
