For the moment, these hairs will not appear in Appearance Modification Menu as I'm busy with other mod updates at the moment. I'll deploy an update that supports AMM ASAP - in the meantime you can just use Trilogy Save Editor. Thanks for your patience!
I'm trying to use tight spikey but whenever I play it just has this one solid hair piece that look like plastic with the actual hair only sticking out. but for the Shepard VI in D24 bay it looks like it's supposed to. I don't know if Audemus will respond but does anybody have an idea of what I should do?
Oh yeah, over 1 year later and any updates are completely dead. lol But that isn't an issue at all, I was just here to feedback that multiple hairstyles could fit both genders, yet due to mesh differences on genders they are unusable (it's very obvious), and it made me a bit disappointed with the mod because most male hairstyles are just bad, better than vanilla for sure, but from a very questionable "fashion" sense.
It's also important to note that most, maybe even all, hairstyles require the default buzzcut otherwise they look ridiculous, but the default buzzcut for ME3 is plain awful on itself which decreases the quality of your mod a lot.
Post feedback, if anyone knows of a descent small texture mod that "fixes" the awfulness of the default buzzcut, please let me know! Ty
I kinda of messed up the port from my ME2 playthrough to ME3, and had to make a dummy character just to have the correct morph parameter in ME3, but the color has been turned black and not light brown like my previous Sheps had. Which parameter do I need to edit in the legendary edition save editor to change the hair color to the one I want? Does anybody know? I'm using the BIOG_HMF_HIR_HALCYON.Sallie.HMF_HIR_Sallie_MDL as a base, and it worked fine for the two previous games. I'm a moron, I got two parameters confused in the vector section and so I was changing something that didn't have any effect.
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite hair on the Citadel!
More seriously, I had and resolved some texture issues. Just putting the fix here in case anyone needs it. No matter what hair i selected, it came out all... scrunched up looking.
To resolve this, select the crew cut hairstyle THEN change to a beautiful halcyon hair via the save editor.
My Jordan Shepard says thanks. You've given her her iconic Look thoughout my playthrough
I'm trying to use the the Mohawk Shave style with femshep. The mod is definitely installed (through ME3Tweaks). In TSE I set the hair mesh and scalp textures, made sure the scalp mask scalar is set to 1, made sure HAIR_DIFF, HAIR_NORM, HAIR_MASK and HAIR_TANG are set to None. The game crashes when trying to load the save.
Originally I thought there may be some incompatibility with the Joan Shepard head morph I was using, but it crashes when using a vanilla head morph too.
All of this worked for me in LE1 and LE2, but it crashes in LE3.
Hmm i had the same problem at first with maleshep crashes in LE3 but LE1 and LE2 works fine and i got it working somehow i replaced Trilogy SaveEditor everything many times and reinstalled the mod.
I'd have to see a screenshot to tell you. Hair transparency is a vanilla issue in certain areas due to the way the engine handles multiple translucent materials interacting.
Here's a couple pictures, had this with the shaved mohawk and tight spiky hairstyles. Tried a few different locations/lighting areas. Didn't have the problem with the cropped fade hairstyle, idk if that helps figure out what it might be?
Due to the way the hair material works, under certain lighting conditions, you'll be able to see through the hair For example here is a fairly normal shot of femshep on menae. If you squint you can see the scalp, but it generally looks fine.
?But if we turn off the lighting...
? This is a vanilla issue, but it's exacerbated by the complex design of the Mohawk/Spiky hairstyles. I've found that darker hair colours mitigate the problem a fair bit because when this issue comes up it blends better with the darker scalp. So if you're using a blonde or otherwise light hair colour, try making it darker. This is unlikely something that will be fixed I'm afraid.
