This mod removes hit marker in Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition. Hit markers look like additional crosshair - they show for second when you hit enemy (see pictures - the ones with mod are named "Modded" and pictures with hit markers are named "Without Mod" ).

News from 3 September 2022:
Today Herobrine24 made similar mod but in form of content mod (also for LE1 and LE3 ) - it is HERE So I encourage you to use Herobrine24's mod than mine unless your LE2 is already texture modded.

OVERVIEW
In original Mass Effect 3 hit markers was introduced (and forced) and also they came to all Mass Effect games in Legendary Edition. Not all players love it (I definitely don't ) so that why I made this mod.

INSTALLATION
This is texture mod and so as other textures mods must be installed after content mods (look below at: "Golden rule of Mass Effect modding" if you are not familiar with it ).

1. Unpack zip file.
2. Launch standalone Mass Effect Modder (don't use Source code and NoGui versions ) or launch it from ME3Tweaks Mod Manager - just launch ME3Tweaks Mod Manager and go to: Tools -> Mass Effect Modder (for Legendary Edition ) - look at picture if you have problem:

3. For Mass Effect 2, click Mods Manager and then Mods Installer

4. Click: "Add to list" and select texture mod and then click: "Install all mods".

Mod is compatible will all mods except those what modify texture file for hit marker (lately installed mod will overwrite previously installed mod ). But probably currently there is no other mods what modify the same texture file.

If you want restore hit markers - download original file (it is in optional download section ) and install it with the same method.

Golden rule of Mass Effect modding:
-backup your Mass Effect game in ME3Tweaks (Backup & Restore -> Backup )
-install content mods first
-install textures mods after content mods
-if you have any texture mod already installed and you want install content mod - you must first restore game to default. To do that use ME3Tweaks (Backup & Restore -> Restore ). This all may feel complicated at first but once you learn it is very easy and even restoring game to default and reinstalling mods is quite fast process.

exceptions: Coalesced mods (not matter if they are in form what replace Coalesced or modify it ) can be installed anytime (before or after any content or textures mods ).

-also a good rule is importing content and coalesced mods to ME3Tweaks Manager before installing them - this make faster reinstalling them after restoring game
-also is good to check "installation" section in mods descriptions because in rare instances some mods must be installed before other mods
-if you install ALOT it rather should be installed before other textures mods (ALOT is big package of textures so we want other mods overwrite ALOT and not otherwise )
