It only works on ME1 because ME1 is the only game in the trilogy where the weight of your armor matters. There are no armor skills for ME2 or ME3 because Shepard can use all armor pieces and sets found in those games regardless of their class, and squadmates have their own custom armor.
Does what it says on the tin. Only thing I noticed is that removing the mod mid-game does not remove the changes, so might want to add that to the description (unless this is Mass Effect modding 101 knowledge, in that case ignore this!).
Nevermind, I read more carefully and realized I needed to do a full restore from backup.
There appears to be an "unhandled scenario" with the modifications performed in SFXGame.pcc (nothing game-breaking, though).
Tested with Sentinel player-character: - Shepard can equip any armor type from the start (as intended) - Kaidan can equip any armor type from the start (as intended) - Ashley can equip any armor type from the start (as intended)
- As soon as Ashley invests a single point in her Armor-Talent, she can no longer equip heavy armor. - As soon as she invests enough points in her Armor-Talent to unlock the "Equip Heavy Armors", she can equip Heavy Armor again. - Same behavior can be observed with Wrex and Garrus. Means: As long as they do not have a point invested in their respective Armor-Talent, everything is fine. As soon as they invest into their Armor-Talents, they have to invest enough to unlock the "Equip Heavy/Medium Armor".
Thank you making the mod! I've always wanted something like this. Unfortunately, I started loading texture mods before I noticed you uploaded this mod. Is it still ok if I load this in after they are done?
I expected as much but was hoping it would be an exception. Thanks for the reply. I decided to do without the mod for now because I will be playing as a soldier and have access to heavy armor anyway.
Thank you so much for this!! I hated when LE came out and the one thing they fixed was the hack to put any armor on anyone. I suffered through 2 games on my Xbox of Kaidan in the booty armor before saying never on Xbox again. I had been using the TSE to do it, but this is soooo much better!! Words can not cover how happy I am to see this!!
