IDK if this is a dumb question but is there a way to get the models for like Gmod or SFM? I'm VERY new to this kinda stuff.

I'm not too sure if you can extract models from the Frosty Editor, but I do know you can extract meshes and textures, if that helps. I haven't really gone into that kind of modding but I'm sure the people in the Frosty Toolsuite discord could give you more info than I could.

So, theoretically, if you played with these in a public lobby what do you think would happen? Could you get banned from multiplayer?

If you do play on public, and if you are the host, everyone in the lobby now has the modded powers/stats that you have loaded. Now, if you join a public lobby with mods enabled, most likely you'll DC or crash on the spot since most people don't run mods for MP. Considering that MEA has been "abandoned," you won't be banned. Worst case scenario if someone for some particular reason thinks that changing powers on kits is cheating (which really isn't) they'd probably try to report you if they really wanted to. But like I said, it really doesn't matter considering not many people play this game anymore and I just wanted a different experience to at least make it better. So enjoy the mods if you wish. :)

Hey! Love the mod! I'm playing around with the Asari Engineer and she's so fun!

I do have a request though. I was wondering if you can edit the Asari Sentinel and Swap Throw for Warp and move Energy Drain to LB + RB and warp to RB. It would be greatly appreciated =). I play with a controller so it's pretty annoying to play with her abilities in awkward positions like that.

I would love to do that, but that only problem is that since warp was added on post-launch, the files won't load because Asari Sentinel and warp are in different bundles. Initially, I wanted the Kineticist to have warp since it was a debuffer, but she was in the base game, and warp was not (not fully anyway). Batarian Vanguard had warp since he was added on later, and are in the same bundle with warp. If I were to add it to Asari Sentinel or any other character that was in the base game, the game wouldn't load since this game has a funny way of loading things. This would also occur for snap freeze, unfortunately. Until there is a way to make it work, I'm afraid I would not be able to pull it off.

Hey! It's me again and I have a couple of suggestions that are hopefully easier to implement than my last suggestion.

The first suggestion is for the Human Guardian. Can you edit rank 5A of his Apex Training and swap it with Exploitation from Offensive Biotics? This should put him on par with the Salarian Operator in terms of debuff quality for supports. I'm not sure if it's possible but I figured I should ask anyway.

The second suggestion is to swap the Human Artificer's Cryo Beam to Shield Boost. I run a shotgun build on her that abuses the drone and Remnant VI's stuns so cryo beam won't be all that necessary (tbh I never really liked cryo beam as far as abilities go). The extra survivability should help keep me and my observer alive quite nicely.

      @Dragonborne654

I had given warp to human adept without any issues, I think there shouldn't be any issues as long as you are assigning warp or any similar unique MP powers to MP character. The bundle issue you mentioned is basically when you try to get MP stuff to SP.

Oh it does work. I just assumed since warp wouldn't work because of the bundle stuff. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the mod, nice to see someone's working on multiplayer. Just 1 question, i already asked on forums but no one answered. Is it possible through modding to give characters additional skill points and make 6/6/6/6/6 builds? Or they are server-sided?

Technically yes, although, I have not tried this.

I didn't find how to add skill points and tried to do it differently. Opened Game/Multiplayer/Characters/Support/AsariAdept/Progression_AsariAdept and changed the values for SkillCostPerRank so rank 4,5,6 cost less skill points. In the game i'm able to make a full build for asari adept but it disconnects me from MP every time when i try to confirm and save it. Is there any other way? I would be very grateful if you give me some advice.

What exactly did you changed the values to? When I tested this, I set every level to 1 point, respec'ed the Asari Adept and everything worked fine. I think the thing is, each evolution has to either increase or stay the same value, not decrease. But then again I'm not entirely sure.

I changed rank 4 to 3 ponts, rank 5 to 4, rank 6 to 4. Now i tried to set everything to 1 and still got the same network connection error message with disconnect from mp when i press "confirm and exit"

Are you setting points when you're in a public lobby, or in the main menu?

These look pretty damn good. Can't wait to try them all out. Just out of curiosity, what is the level of effort for creating custom multiplayer mod characters? Is there a tutorial or guide I can use to make my own characters? It sucks that we won't be getting additional content after N7 day but if we can make custom characters and play in private lobbies, then I guess its not all bad.

It depends on what exactly is going to be changed; some things can be tedious or relatively easy. The nice thing about the frosty editor is that things can be moved around without any real hard work. Unfortunately, there isn't a real tutorial on how to mod multiplayer specifically, at least none to my knowledge, but if you know the editor well enough, it shouldn't be too hard. The tutorial that is included with the frosty editor package only explains how to mod singleplayer stuff, which really doesn't help people who actually want to mod multiplayer. If you'd like, I can give you some pointers on how to do it.

That would be awesome! I think I will wait to see what other modders do first before deciding to dive in myself. I was very interested in creating something like a stealth operative/saboteur type class (cloak, invasion, recon visor). What you've release already is more than enough to keep me busy for awhile. Really liking the variety. Will there be more alternate kits from you down the road?

I'm not entirely sure yet. I've been busy with several things lately. When I get a new idea for a new kit, I'll begin working on it. Also, the Saboteur type class you mentioned fits very well on the Turian Agent.

Oh sweet, not sure how I missed that the other day. The class I had in mind relied heavily on invasion though. The idea would have been cloaking sneaking behind enemy lines (mobs of enemies), unleashing invasion and then going back into cloak. It would probably require a lot of balancing to make sure it wasn't too cheap though. I'll definitely check out your Turian Agent in the meantime. Again, these all look great. Nice work.

Well, you could just put points into everything except for recon visor and get that same playstyle if you'd like. And thanks, appreciate it.

Doesn't EA/BW frown violently upon modding MP?

Depends. Running any multiplayer mod on a private lobby won't cause any attention, since it's only yourself and a few other people. However, if you're on a public lobby (and being the host) will make the other teammates confused but it's not necessarily a bad thing, unless you're running mods that make enemies die in one hit and get a trillion credits, then yeah that's cheating. MEAMP won't be supported past November, and no one has been banned really, so it's not a big deal.
