About this mod
A guide to editing head presets from the CC in Blender and importing them back into the game + modder's resource
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
This guide along with the project files are a modder's resource for people who want an even more customisable Ryder. I've tried to make the guide as beginner friendly as possible but you will probably still need to look up some videos on Youtube on how to use Blender.
This mod includes:
- A written guide in the form of a pdf file
- .fbproject files for both Ryders for ease of use
Please let me know if something is unclear about the guide/project files or just not working and I'll try to correct it
Limitations of this mod
With importing an edited head mesh into the CC presets, there are some things currently not
possible. This includes changing eye colour (which is why I explained how to do it in Frosty
Editor) and adding makeup, scars and tattoos. These limitations are probably caused by
replacing default Ryder’s head which can’t be edited in the CC, unfortunately. You would have to
add makeup, scars and tattoos to the complexions themselves.
There’s also an issue where the mesh of modded hairstyles will reset to the vanilla game mesh but
keep the textures of the mod if you go into the facial reconstruction menu on the Tempest. The
solution for this is mentioned in the guide.
