Hi. First, thank you for your hard work. I have two questions. 1) I don't have ME2. And I don't want to play it again. If I install this mod for ME3 only, will it still work? because I don't have any saved game from ME2 to copy it and the "FemShep and Jack romance for ME2" won't be installed on ME3 obviously. 2) Do I have to run the game only through ME3Tweaks Mod Manager to make it work? or it will work if I hit run in Texmod or run the main desktop shortcut?
1) you can use just the ME3 version, but you’ll need to edit your save to make the game think you romanced her in ME2. You basically just need to open your ME3 save before meeting her for the first time, and set her ME2 Romance status to true and relationship progress to 5.
2) You’ll need to launch the game using ME3Tweaks at least once after installing the mod so it can get everything set up properly. After that first time, you can launch it anyway you want and don’t need to launch from the mod manager.
Search for the “Trilogy Save Editor” mod here on Nexus Mods. It’s a tool that lets you easily edit your save files. Once you download it, run the editor and find the button to open your save file. Most people’s saves are located in their Documents folder under the BioWare sub folder.
Once you open up your ME3 save file, you should be able to see pretty much everything stored in your save file. Trilogy Save Editor does a pretty good job at organizing it for easy use. You’ll basically want to navigate to the ME2 romance info, and then edit Jack’s romance stuff to make the game believe you romanced her. As mentioned before, that will be setting her romance status to True, and setting her relationship progress to 5. That should be all you need to do. Then just hit the save button to apply your changes to your save file, and then go play the game. If you’re having trouble finding the romance stuff in save editor lmk and I’ll try to help further.
Sorry one more question. I'm starting with femshep. If by the Trilogy save editor I set the romance with Ashley true in ME1, then can I romance her in ME3?
hey. execuse me if you dont reply anymore but i got a question, if i use the me2 version of this mod to romance her, will it move to me3? or the game will make like nothing happened between sheppard and her? also, same applies for legendary edition? romances moves from me2 to me3? thank you so much
YES!!! I know what my next playthrough is going to be! My original ME Trilogy character would have romanced Jack, but it turned out they removed that option in ME2, even though much of it was recorded and at least the one night stand was animated. *eyeroll* When I saw the Miranda version of this for ME2, I was one if the people who commented that I'd love to see it for Jack, s well. So, a HUGE thank you. I am working on a BroShep playthrough currently, but plan to download this and just not install it for now, and use it on the next playthrough. Thank you so much for making this possible.
Apologies if this has been asked before. If I want to jump straight into Mass Effect 3 with this mod, changing some of the variables in gibbed so the game thinks I romanced Jack in Mass Effect 2, do I need to download and install the ME2 version of this mod as well? Or will I be ok with just the ME3 version?
Sorry for the late reply, but yes you can do it with a save editor if you don’t feel like doing ME2.
The two key things to modify are her romance value and her relationship value. You want to set her ME2 romance status to TRUE and her ME2 relationship status to 5. That should be fine.
