    I don't get my coalesced.ini fixed with this program. It always says "This doesn't look like a valid Coalesced.ini. Please make sure that you edit it in editor that can set line breaks to Unix format. Windows Notepad is not such editor. Get Notepad2 or Notepad++."
    The thing is, I have edited the ini with Notepad++ and it still doesn't work...

      So, I encounterd the same issue and now it works so I hope this will work for you too.
      When I downloaded the console command mod, I tried to overwrite something in the file with regular Notepad before I found out that I fricking need two other programs for that (Notepad++ and this fixer). So I downloaded both. Opened the Coalescend thing in Notepad++, re-edited what I needed (because I rewrote it back still on regular Notepad before downloading the two programs) and ran the fixer. That's where I got the error message. What had helped me fix it was simply deleting the .ini file and uploading a new one from the .zip again. Then it said it needed permission to enter the file, so I ran it again, this time as an Admin (which I have not done before) and voilá. It's in. Good luck guys!

      Inifixer wont work for me. It says: Couldn't open file. Please make sure that it's present in the current working directory

      Ive saved it in the correct area.
      Ive tried to open it as Administraitor.
      Should it be .Bak becasue its saved as .exe?

      (Sorry for my lack of knowledge)

    Decided to add my comment even though it's probably not even relevant anymore but here is what I did to make it work.  My goal was simply to get 90fps so those are the changes I was after.   I initially tried to do it with windows note pad, failed and found the inifixer.   The inifixer would fail every time, the only thing I got it to do was create a backup but the changes I made would always cause it to fail as others have said.

    So Here Are The Steps I Took.    #1 - I deleted the failed Coalesced file then run a repair on the game.  This defaulted it to the original.   #2 - I downloaded NotePad++ run it initially and set it up in windows then closed it.    #3 - I then run the inifixer so it makes a backup.    #4 - After the backup I opened the Coalesced file with NotePad++,  you'll have to right click and it should say "Edit with NotePad++"     #5 - I saved my framerate changes in NotePad++ and while leaving it open   #6 - I run the inifixer and it said "this file has been modified by another program, do you want to reload it? Select Yes.     THEN it should work.   At least it did for me.

    Coalesced.ini is located in:
    Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked\
    place program there, make desktop shortcut of Cooked folder;

    Download Notepad++
    https://notepad-plus-plus.org
    > If latest versions not work for your PC, download this version:
    https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.9.1.html
    (it simply isn't separated for x86/x64 systems)

    Install "Compare" plugin (highly recommended):
    Spoiler:
    Show

    main panel > plugins > plugin manager > show plugin manager > find plugin Compare > Install >
    > (if program asks if you would like to update manager? - Yes, only once) >
    > Open two .ini-s > main panel > plugins > Compare > select one of two files > Set as first to compare >
    > switch to second file > main panel > plugins > Compare > Compare
    Differences between two files will be highlighted;

    Edit Coalesced.ini - right-click on file > Edit with Notepad++
    Once you save the file, run ME2IniFixer.exe > press any key > done.
    > if you left Coalesced.ini opened in Notepad++ and switch to it after running ME2IniFixer, Notepad++ will ask:
    "This file has been modified by another program. Do you want to reload it?" > Yes.

    Notes:
    > Running program with administrator rights not necessary.
    > Do not rely on program's backup files (Coalesced.ini.original and Coalesced.ini.bak) - always make backups manually.
    > Changes made by ME2IniFixer can be noticed in constantly changing [IniVersion] -s.

      I don't see any option to fix ini files in MEM.
