The mod is now at version 2.1, compatible with the vanilla game, as well as with hi-res/MEUITM/A.L.O.T setups.

Thank you for making this mod. I appreciate the dignity that this mod brings to the game. A bit of a random question, but can these textures be used in Legendary Edition?

You're welcome. I haven't tried the LE as yet so I cannot currently confirm compatibility.

Wow I've got to admit I came here after installing ALOT/MEUITM looking for any kind of mod that would make it look less like the clothing had skin colours and shadows painted on it. I figured black fabric would be better than horrible skin-painted clothes. What you can't really tell from the photos is that the black is more like sheer fabric covering over the "holes" (at least with my texture setup), which actually makes the textures they're covering look even more realistic under the sheer fabric. Can't imagine playing without this now. Fantastic.

Hah, a happy accident. Older UE3 stuff definitely shows its age these days, but I think ME1 as a game still remains something else.

I was sceptical at first, because the majority of "make female clothing/armor look less silly/more practical" always end up being some cheap unicolored texture that sticks to the to the skin like some latex.

But these look really pretty. Especially Benezia. Works really well with the MEUITM/ALOT setup and their textures. The Benezia textures from MEUITM/ALOT just fits your texture perfectly.

Thanks! They match up as they should because CDAMJC, who is the MEUITM creator, very generously permitted making the mod directly compatible with his work.

      I hope so, lol!

I haven't been doing anything with those in a long time, but I'll be looking into them when I next get a chance to.

Thanks, it's always nice to know that people find these useful!

What can I say, I've been waiting to replay the trilogy myself with many updated mods, but life is pretty relentless these days. The compatibility will definitely happen (as well as updates to TRAM for the other MEs), but I'm going to need to get through a lot of other stuff first. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

In the meantime, I think anyone savvy enough to figure out the proper procedure for texture replacement with all the new tools should still be able to use the textures in the current TRAM_v2.0_MEUITM pack at 4K (although they won't benefit from any upgrades CDAMJC may have made to these particular textures; but then again, it's only about 11 files or so that TRAM will replace). Note that I won't be able to provide any support for this approach though, until I've had a chance to figure it all out for myself.

Hey thanks so much for adding a MEUITM version of this mod! I am having an issue though, when I try to install the !8 and !9 textures for Benezia and save my changes, I get an error saying "An error occurred during saving: Class name or object name are incorrect." Any ideas what this means? When i load up the game it runs just fine and Benezia's ridiculous bosom is covered but her outfit appears solid black with practically no fabric detail or reflection or otherwise. Not sure what's going on with these other textures or why they won't save.

      You're welcome.

Mod applied on a clean installation of Mass Effect + MEUITM, and all instructions followed exactly? I've applied it a couple of times on a clean ME + MEUITM installation and it's worked consistently, so the files, formats and names are definitely not an issue. In case those files in your game folder may have gotten corrupted for some reason, the only thing I can suggest unfortunately, is to re-do the whole installation from scratch (yeah..), with the usual, 'Run as Administrator' and 'run in compatibility mode for Windows 7' for ME1Explorer, before you ever build the texture tree, and for every subsequent time you run ME1Explorer for the texture replacements (maybe you'd want to just try doing this first with your current ME1Explorer setup and seeing whether you still get the error?).

If you used the old 1.0 version of the mod earlier, make sure to delete all the old ME3Explorer folders (and/or your current extracted ME3Explorer folder used for the current set up) before redoing everything from scratch. Basically ensure that you insulate your fresh installation completely from anything that may remain from earlier.

Also, after performing a clean ME installation, I'd suggest running ME and starting a new game up to the first Normandy level, then exiting, before installing MEUITM, and then this mod.

      Hope you get it working!

(PS: In another glorious statement of the obvious (I'm on a roll today), before uninstalling everything, remember to keep a backup of your save game folder with a save that has Benezia around, so that you can quickly test if the mod's working after reinstallation.)

Is there any way this mod could be edited to only include Benezia, Wong, and the Colonists? Otherwise really well done, especially for Benezia, amps up her character so much more.

      Thank you.

The mod is not all-inclusive, so only those components that you want will get applied. I'll highlight this better in the description.

Wong's mod, though, will compulsarily affect all characters assigned to that outfit's geometry, so the other women in the wards and Sha'ira will also get modded if you choose that one (there's no way around it, that I know of).

First of all I really appreciate this mod and the ones you have made for the other games as well <3 I have a question though. Do you know if these textures are compatible with MEUITM? I've tried to use both but I am getting crashes right before the first scene with Saren and Benezia and I've had to remove this mod in order to get the game to work correctly. Didn't know if I was doing something wrong or if this is simply not compatible with MEUITM so I thought I would ask.

EDIT: so I've kind of been playing around with the HD textures from the MEUITM to see if I can make my own version of TRAM for Benezia that is compatible with MEUITM. However, I am confused about the secondary texture files in texplorer. particularly the ones that end with !8 and !9? What are those, and how did you make them? I have everything else fixed up I believe, but I cannot figure out what's going on with those secondary textures. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi remsteele! As I'm not using MEUITM, I'm not sure about compatability. What seems clear is that MEUITM must only be installed on top of a clean installation of Mass Effect (without TRAM or any other mods applied). Once that's confirmed to be working without any crashes, you could try following the TRAM instructions to replace just the MEUITM textures that you want to (which could risk breaking MEUITM/crashing the game) - OR - you could use TexMod (if you're familiar with it) to just override (rather than replace) those same textures, which may add a few steps every time you launch the game, but will not break or modify the game/the MEUITM installation, in any way. [I am here assuming that MEUITM is an independent installation that doesn't employ TexMod itself.]

Can you please clarify the question about the 'secondary' texture files? Are these not showing up for you when you do a Texplorer search for 'ASA_ARM_MRC_Bas_Diff_Stack' and 'ASA_ARM_MRC_Bas_Norm_Stack'? Or, are they showing up for you, but you want some clarification of what they're about?

Hi thank you for the reply! I did try to install TRAM over MEUITM and that was what caused the crash unfortunately. I'm assuming it's because the resolution of the textures differs so much that it breaks the game but I really don't know enough about this stuff to make a precise judgement lol. I did think about using TexMod instead but I'm not sure how to install TRAM with TexMod because they are just raw texture files and not in tpf format and I really have not figured out yet how to make tpf files (though I am still trying :p).

And as far as the question of the secondary files, they are showing up fine, I guess my question is mostly just I don't understand their purpose? As I said I was taking a stab at making my own texture files using the HD textures from MEUITM as a starting point, but I don't understand those files or what you did to make the replacements for them in TRAM. I hope that makes sense!

      Gotcha, thanks for the clarification(s).

So first off, about the 'secondary' textures (that end with !8 and !9), these are just higher-resolution/different-compression-format versions of the 'primary' textures, that I guess the game might be using in close-up shots of Benezia (that is, if the game's using them at all). I made them just like I did all the others - by discovering and extracting them using Texplorer, then modding them and saving them in the same resolution and compression format as the original extracted textures.

In case versions of these aren't readily available in MEUITM, maybe it could be that: 1) MEUITM might have found a way to use the same modded files for both the 'primaries' as well as 'secondaries', since all of its textures seem to be in 4K anyway (this is just a guess), or 2) who knows, perhaps the 'secondaries' might be redundant files that the game doesn't really need, so MEUITM may have skipped them?

So, what you could do is ignore them for now and just focus on the 'primaries'. If Benezia happens to appear in her original default outfit at some point in-game, rather than in your custom TRAM version, then you'll know that you need to override the 'secondaries' as well.

Now, coming to the actual overriding part, it looks like TexMod will be your only option if you want to use custom TRAM textures on top of MEUITM. I used the following tutorial by Ottemis to learn tpf stuff, so maybe you'll find it useful too: http://ottemods.blogspot.com/2013/08/guide-creating-texmod-package-files-tpf.html (the 'Package Build Mode' section is relevant here - you will be able to find the hashes of the textures you want to include by checking their properties in Texplorer).

Hope that helps, and good luck!

Ahh okay thanks for explaining that should make things significantly clearer for me going forward. I'll keep playing around with texplorer and texmod and see if I can't make this work!

Hey when I right click on the selected file at step 13 for some odd reason after the first texture there isn't the option used to replace the sign.
