I already installed the main MEUITM mod. I'm a little confused about this and the various other individual texture mods on this page - are these additional to the main package or already included in it? Do I need to use these mods at all if I already have the main one? The main mod has its own installer so I've not used the explorer tool and I'm not familiar with installing mods for this game.
    Thanks
    Geraint

This eyelash mod is not part of the vanilla MEUITM. It was originally released for texmod and at this point is a dds file that can be manually installed with texplorer in me3explorer. It might be able to be installed with the same tool a lot and MEUITM used but I've never tested it; almost sure that it could though.

OK thanks so "vanilla" MEUITM doesn't touch the lashes? What about the other "MEUITM" texture mods on here? Do they overlap with the main one?

I don't think MEUITM touches the lashes. If it does, I can't tell.

From what I remember, C3Anderson had also released stand-alone textures for some of what MEUITM does as a whole. After that I'm not sure which ones do or don't overlap with MEUITM. I know that with the anniversary edition of MEUITM, I've been happy with just that and the lashes for Femshep.

I love the look of this, but how do I install it with MEM? Typically, I would just create a new mod to install, but when I try to load up the textures it throws an error.

I'm running both MEUITM and ALOT.

I was able to use MEUITM recently; since the new installer. From there I searched for the eyelash names using the texture browser in MEM to then replace the eyelashes. I was not using a lot so I don't know if that would change anything or not.

The readme had this info. You'll have to read through the wikia article. It's not too bad, really.

You can read about me3explorer at http://me3explorer.wikia.com/wiki/Getting_Started but the basics are this.

Using texplorer from within me3explorer, you can search for the names of each file included in this zip, find it, click on the image and change it, and replace HMF_HED_PROLash_Opac_M01 with the HMF_HED_PROLash_Opac_M01.dds file from this zip file. Ditto for HMF_HED_PROLash_Opac_M02. Save changes with the menu option in the upper left.

Works in ME1 and ME2. If you've ever noticed the eyelashes for Femshep not showing up during the prologue, that just seems to be a problem in general. After the game autosaves you can reload the save and then her eyelashes are back.

I had some problems with the installation of this mod. I asked in the ME3Explorer forum, but I found a solution of myself. Here a link to the forum - thread, could help you to install this great mod:

Yeah. I wonder why he doesn't provide a single sentence of instructions.

If he can't even mention how to install, he could just point us somewhere with installation instructions of similar mods.

See if this helps. Texmod is a little archaic and to be candid, I didn't think many people would even care about this mod.

Heh, sorry about that. I thought this mod would get 24 downloads so I suppose it's time I post some instructions. When I get some time I'll see what I can find as I know there's a good tutorial out there for using texmod.

EDIT: And I found Ottemis' instructions. Posted on the main page. :)

Do other textures run with Texmod on ME1 on Origin? I'm suspicious that antivirus may be involved. There's something else I think I'm forgetting that may also cause this issue with Texmod...I just can't recall.

I'm a big fan of the texplorer route with the new dds files.

You've got texmod running and are in package mode, correct? And, to confirm, you have MEUITM installed as well?

Man, what a difference such a small thing makes, thanks for this! Also, how did you do this? There are a couple of other mods I'd like to use for ME1 (namely the improved hair texture here http://www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/2/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fmasseffect%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D2%26preview%3D&pUp=1,) but since MEUITM changes all the hash names or whatever, I'm out of luck.

Good question. To be candid, I think it's pretty easy and I think most people can do this.
Full instructions I used are here
      http://ottemods.blogspot.com/2013/08/guide-creating-texmod-package-files-tpf.html
but I'll give a quick tutorial.

Using texmod, you put it into logging mode and grab the hair texture from ME1 running MEUITM. It's a bit tedious, but that's how I got it done for the eyelashes.

      Then, you use TPFExtract
      http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=162333
to get the hair texture you want out of the other tpf file with the hairbun texture you want.

Using that texture you just extracted, make sure the log file is using the correct name, and then using texplorer, you create a package.

What's so cool about this is, you can do this with any game you use texmod and tpfs. You can extract out, replace, and fully customize your game this way. I mix and match smarteck/freddy g and ottemis and other textures for ME3 to get exactly what I want.

This doesn't seem to be working for me. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have MEUITM installed, I got Texmod up and running, selected this mod's tpf, and then ran the game with TexMod. When I get to the character creator the eyelashes disappear entirely and then when I get in game she has eyelashes but they're not long like in your screenshots. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. :/

Two things seem to go weird with these lashes.

      1. The character creator screen is different in textures than the rest of the game. You may notice the armor is not high resolution. It has to do with how MEUITM had to be setup. Because of this, the texmod lashes show no lashes at all, it's kind of a mess but there's no way around it.

      2. The lashes are also different per eyes. So, depending on the eyes you've chosen, that's how the lashes will look. The problem is, you can't see them in the character creator...you only can see them in game. It's basically a catch-22. The character I used just happens to have lush lashes...I didn't even think about it when I posted it but those are probably the thickest lashes available.

Maybe I can make some time to show what the lashes look like with this mod running in texmod so you'll know what you'll get. I'm in the middle of an ME3 project at the moment, which is driving me nuts, and I want it done.

Ahh ok thanks! I had no idea there were different types of lashes depending on the eye shape. I'll do some experimenting.

Is there a way to replace this permanently in the game ?

I'm using MEUITM and using texmod with that causes horrible stutters.

On the other hand, not using texmod gives me smooth gameplay but makes the eyes look... not right .

This also is in response to michal9o90. The texture isn't in a format for texplorer I'm afraid. I've not bothered to try and convert it. I hear the texture is kind of a pain to convert for some reason so I've just always used temod for this one texture.

I'm planning on another trilogy run soon so maybe I'll see if I can convert it for texplorer as I would prefer that too.

Please, make a mod that gives some certain merchants all armors and weapons that don't appear in the game unless we use console command. They are products of Batarian State Arms, Cerberus Skunkworks, Hahne-Kedar Shadow Works, Jormangund Technology and single products Geth Pulse Sniper Rifle, Geth Pulse Shotgun. If you can, please make this mod or give this idea to someone, who can make it.

Yeah, that won't be me doing one like that for ME1 or any ME. Not sure if that one is reasonably doable since we don't have great tools for ME1.
