Hey man I accidentally deleted my toc files and didnt back it up would you please make it downloadable? Maybe share yours so I could back it up and be able to launch my game again?
yes, but audio is different from normal assets (like, say, .model or .texture), it doesn't have real names and is in .wem format
you can find it grouped by archive in the `[WEM]` section at the very bottom of the directories tree, but it could be a bit tricky to play it or replace it properly
you can ask audio modders around for more details, or maybe they have a tutorial they can link to you
Thank you! It took me forever to find what I was looking for before! Now I have to find out how to convert texture and gfx files to at least visible image formats.
To preview .texture, and have an overall deeper dive into assets, you could use my MSMR Asset Browser tool. You can either run it from code, or download an .exe release. It's a bit more complex and a bit more for research rather than making mods, though.
There is also a Texture Scaler, which allows you to convert .texture to .dds and back. As for .gfx, IIRC they are just .swf (Flash) files. There even is a tool to extract them, but I don't remember how it's called, and I think nobody was able to put a modified .gfx back so the game would accept it. Ask around on server about it.
Oh my goodness. I am so out of it. I got the discord already. Sorry! And thanks! Also, the last texture scaler I had didn't work. Hope I get that figured out.
.stage is like .smpcmod, but a little bit better. It's supported by Overstrike, and can be made for every game Overstrike supports (that doesn't make MSMR mods applicable to MM though).
So, .stage contains the mod's resources. Most mods replace existing game resources with updated version (for example, change a model or a texture). .smpcmod doesn't allow to add new resources (with new names), meaning two .smpcmod files could conflict with each other if they replace the same resources. Because of that, SMPCTool didn't have an option to add new resource, only to replace existing ones. Unlike .smpcmod, .stage allows adding new resources. However, like SMPCTool, this tool doesn't have an option for that (yet).
Yes, if they find a way to tell the game to use them. For example, .suit mods modify 'system_progression.config' to reference a .model that wasn't in game originally. I don't remember if there is a similar way for animations. If there's not, even if these animations are added in .stage, game won't know about them and would be using original ones.

is it possible to extracting the audio ? (voice - sfx - music ?)

People there could help you out with .texture & .gfx.

- extract game resources (models, textures, etc) from its archives;
- make .stage mod files.
