Why remove the roadsign symbols? That's genius thinking. In other games there's either just the line on the minimap (GTAV) or a line on the road (Watch Dogs).
The problem with just the line on the minimap it's easy to miss a turn when driving at high speed and it's easy to crash when glancing at the minimap while driving at high speed.
As for the line on the road that's way less immersive than having road signs helping guide the player.

I wish the audio mod didnt also mute some Tommy dialog. Like his walk with Sarah, he's silent. Shame, i hate the police radio. Should be used with free ride only.

The only bad thing is, without quest markers sometimes it's impossible to progress. Like the Molotov Party early chapter, I had to park near Morello's bar, but I had no idea exactly where without the marker, it took me a lot of time, until I gave up and looked at some youtube video of Let's Play to see where the marker is.
It would be amazing if you could 'toggle' the marker mid game with a keybind or something. But whatever, even with this hiccup, the mod is still worth.
And I'm interested to know do you planning to make youtube tutorial, about how you made this mod and use this programms, where you grab it and over stuff, i'm sure that many players would be grateful to you, this can be helpful for other good moders like you))
Could you maybe make one (file) for english, referring to the police radio? Thank you. Also, I tried the German audio that is in the files and there's still police mic/radio that is heard. Could you remove that as well as the police voices so all police audio removed. Thank you. Besides that, great mod!

If you could remove the sound of when you crash into something and the players health is extremely low (don't know how to describe it), that you would be great as well. Not referring to the grunts/groans of the character when they crash, but that jarring sound. Sorry for the bad description.
i exactly know what sounds you mean i hate this sounds to. it is absolutly immersion breaking. i would remove them if i know where they are located i can not find them,but i recoment you to check if i updated the mod in the future. i will try to find and remove them!
Thank you that would be great and will do. Also, some guns (thompson) sound bad and when they make impact, it sounds terrible. So, in a future update and if you could, please change those sounds as well.
Hi everyone, i play in russian and i also want to delete Police Radio. Can you describe in detail path for making corrections and say which lines exactly i need to change in english version of this file - (audio_en.sds)? What numbers did you touch from 3 to 126 and how to edit the *.gbin format?

this i deleted <ResourceEntry SlotVram="3002029349" SlotRam="1070438364"> <Type>Generic</Type> <File>/audio/packages/German/dialogue.gbin</File> <Generic_Unk01>0</Generic_Unk01> <Version>10</Version> </ResourceEntry>
and then i saved the ( SDSContent.xml )
after that i deleted also the dialogue.gbin
and repacked the ( audio_de.sds ) with mafia tools
i made the same with all versions except the russian and the cz version. and this removes the police radio but ! it leads also to a error that tommy dont speak and also some npc's dont speak in storymode.
i dont know how to edit .gbin files if you find a way please let me know!
you can use "RavioliGameTools" with this you can read the .bnk files and you can play the audiofiles inside the .bnk with this you can determine where which sounds are. you can also get all audio files out of a .bnk file with this tool you can also tell the program to unpack the audio files in .wav or .mp3
i dont found a way to edit .bnk files and save them. the only way i found is to use "Wwise" and import the sounds in .wav and create a newsoundbank .bnk and replace the original one but the problem is this .bnk files include informations wich needs to be the same as before event informations and more and i dont know how the mafia creator created this soundbanks and what they wrote inside. i was able to unpack some of the infodatas out of a .bnk this files are .dat files and i dont know how to read them.
the mafia .bnk files was created with "Wwise" by the mafia devs. so i guess the solution is in the programm "Wwise"

It does not work with spanish audio. Tommy doesn't speak (e.g. in the hotel). He doesn't even open his mouth. If you keep the original audio he talks but you can also hear the police
i spend about 16 hours yesterday try to fix it but I am unable to fix this problem. Since I don't have the correct event names i would need to create a new Wwise project and build new banks with the correct names and correct events which the game will call. But I don't know these event names and I can't find them, so I can't build new .bnk files that are correctly addressed by the game. it will probably take some time, i recommend to use the radio remove file only in freeride mode as it leads to problems in story mode.
In the current version 0.4 I only removed the entry which leads to the police radio, but that also brings the problem with the other lines no longer being read correctly.
my plan is to edit the sound files in the .bnk data, to make them quieter or to change them, i also managed that i can also create new .bnk data but as already said the event names are not correct.
