This installation has 2 parts: One to stop the Drop Gauge from depleting, and the other to remove the gauge from the HUD. Technically part 2 is optional, but there's no point in keeping it on screen.

Installation:

PART ONE: Gameplay Patch

1) Go to:
https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/
(Should also work with any ROM patching site/software, but these instructions are specific to this site)

2) Where it says "ROM file", click the box and select your "KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance.exe" (probably located in ...\Program Files\Epic Games\KH_2.8\)

3) Where it says "Patch file", click the box and select the mod file "KHDDD_NoAutoDrop.bps". If you have other patches applied already, it may give you a warning, but you can ignore it.

4) Click "Apply patch" to download the patched version of your game.

5) Drop the patched file into the same directory as the original game.

6) Rename the original "KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance.exe" to something like "KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance_bak.exe" so you can keep a backup in case you ever need the un-modded  version.

7) Rename the patched file from "KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance (patched).exe" to "KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance.exe" so your game will read it properly.

PART TWO: Remove HUD Element

1) Download the KHPCPatchManager:
https://github.com/AntonioDePau/KHPCPatchManager/releases

2) Drag the mod (hideDropGauge.dddpcpatch) onto KHPCPatchManager.exe. It may ask you to locate your some of your game's files, in which case follow its instructions.

If you want to uninstall the mod, follow the same instructions as above, but instead use the patches in the included "uninstall_mod" folder. Alternatively if you saved backups of your game files, you can just delete the modded files and restore/rename your backups.
