For anyone using controller, I have created a Steam Controller community layout for using a controller with this mod. With this layout, you can easily:
* Enter third person * Zoom in * Zoom out
While retaining all the controls you would usually have.
To apply this config:
1. Open Steam Controller Configurator for KCD2 2. Navigate to "Search" 3. Search for "TPV mod" 4. Apply the profile: "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: Layout for TPV mod"
How to use: The layout adds the following commands:
hold LB + RB -> enter/exit TPV hold LB + d-pad up -> Zoom in TPV hold LB + d-pad down -> zoom out TPV
I have played many hours with this set-up and it works flawlessly.
Hi, I am getting a crash when I launch the game after installing the mod. I wish I had more information but all I can say is I have all of my antivirus software disabled and I tried different versions of dinput8, the ASI loader as I understand it.
That seemed to be the solution, thanks for helping me out there.
One more thing now that I got the mod to work with your help: is there an option to move the third person camera without Henry moving along with the camera so that his back is always facing the player? I was wondering if I could adjust the third person camera so I can look at Henry's front side while he's walking forwards for example.
I am sure there's something in the configuration but I just wanted to be sure and check with you because some stuff I don't fully understand in the configuration.
Glad you got it working. For your question, sadly this mod cannot do that for now. One thing to note, since you're not using Ultimate ASI Loader. Unlike UAL, KCD2ModLoader will most likely need to be updated after a new version of the game comes out, so after a big game version update, it may be no longer working, you'll may have to wait for it to be updated.
I used the d3d12.dll you gave me, and when I clicked the game icon, ASI Loader started. However, after entering the game, when I clicked Start Game, it would automatically exit to the desktop. Is there any other way? I have tried everything for several hours, but it still doesn't work.
Without more info, I don't know what's the problem
1. Is your game on Steam or something else? 2. What is your game version? 1.3.2? 3. Did it generate the KCD2_TPVToggle.log in the folder where you put the files into? If yes, what is the content of it?
Is there any way to disable headbob in third person? Or could that be added? My wife wants to play the game but she gets awful motion sickness (hence why I found this mod since third person helps a lot, but the camera shaking is still an issue.) Great mod, though!
guys what about non-steam versions i installed the tpv mod cfg ones and camera is not mvoing like you know in all directions he only goes for back and left and right by not using camera so what tot do
I believe KCD1 already has a lot of working TPV solutions? I remember saw a guide on how to trigger TPV dev debug camera (like this one) using the offical mod tool.
Edit: This one it seems: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1379 But tbh I haven't tried it
Am I correct in stating that Henry's "focus point" in FPV is locked when you toggle to TPV? For example, with archery in TPV you cannot aim up or down from the y-axis orientation that henry had in the FPV.
Please make this for KCD 1 as well. Currently all other options for that game are either broken or have a weird control setup. I would be forever in your debt
I have a weird issue. The mod used to work, but suddenly(i guess after game 1.3 or nvidia driver update) the game stoped working if dinput8.dll is near to exe file. Tried with and w/o other mods. KCD2 just crashes w/o a crash information directly after launching. Do you have any idea what could be wrong here? Driver downgrade doesn't help at all.
Hmm, so the ASI loader is causing problems, perhaps try another variant of ASI loader here: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases
You can pick some of the Win64 dlls to try. They are basically just the same binary renamed, so you can download one, then rename it to other forms to test.
If it's still not working, perhaps downgrade to older version to check.
So, I tried your solution with no success. Then I remembered that my antivirus software has also got an update on the same day as the driver of nvidia. So I decided to try if this DLL-hook could be missunderstand from my Bitdefender and this was it. Making an exception for KCD2 exe in "advanced treat protection" has solved the problem. Thank you!
Dude, you are awesome. Edit: for some reason, editing those settings didn't do anything to the camera positioning. Edit Edit: I had to edit the settings to "Default Profile" INI for it to work, but it did! Thank you for this mod, dude! Truly a f*#@ing real pizzle yanker!
[CameraProfiles] Enable = false Make sure this is OFF, otherwise you have to edit the offsets in live adjsutments or the `KCD2_TPVToggle_Profiles.json`. Also make sure you're on the latest version of the game.

If not, then the asi loader doesn't work.
If the asi loader does not work then what is the solution?
Perhaps try replacing the ASI Loader with this d3d12.dll from
https://github.com/xiaoxiao921/KCD2ModLoader/releases
How does it turn out?

would be great if you could take a look :)
I might actually try it out and play the game now. I've never played KCD1 because of the forced FPV.

Edit: How do you adjust the camera at all? And can you adjust the Y Axis sensitivity on pc?
For the camera offsets (Example):
TpvOffsetX = 0.5
TpvOffsetY = 1.8
TpvOffsetZ = 0.0
And for the Y Axis sensitivity (Example to reduce the sensitivity to 30%):
PitchSensitivity = 0.3
But this mod currently has some limitations, you can read the "Known Issues and Limitations" to know more.
