    If you notice this not working, rename it to CLAM instead of whatever it is originally.

    I know this may be asking a lot but I have no idea what I am doing. I really enjoy the Midnight Armor mod. However, I have had some save game issues with mods after updating. In fact I actually just reinstalled and updated everything to 1.4.1. Of course my save game was borked as the moment you went into trade screen and put something in basket game would crash. I had a Groschen mod and this mod and both modified shop2 file.

    Anyhow, getting to the point. Could you please do a small tutorial on how to install the midnight armor mod https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/337 using clam. Also tell us what files would need backed up so we could replace them for next update?

    It would be great if authors checked back periodically to update their work. I personally am a bit timid when it comes to just modifying game files as nothing sucks like starting over for the third or fourth time.

      I downloaded and analyzed the mod.
      The description of the mod says that you should unpack this in the game main directory.
      This is actually wrong, since from patch 1.3 a new mod structure exists.
      Try it like this:
      Open the "Midnight Armor Set - 1.20 - English-337-1-20.7z", and extract all the content into Mods folder
      (e.g. Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\)
      If the mods folder is not exist, then create it.
      Now the folder "steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\" should contain
      the folder "KingdomComeDeliverance".
      (Better is, you rename this folder to "Midnight_Armor_Set"<- a example)

      Because of this procedure no vanilla files are overwritten now.

      Then you do not need my CLAM, because it merges one file only:
      \Data\Libs\Localization\localization.xml
      which in midnight mod does not exist.

      However, "the Midnight Armor Set" mod is also outdated, because
      the patch 1.4.1 has, among other things, new items in the file text_ui_items.xml.

      I hope I could help you

      Hey, Thanks for the reply. New items?... I'll check those out before I mess with the old mod. Your instructions are great. This also taught me more about the structure of the game. So helpful.

    Thanks a lot for your work and it's highly appreciated! You made also very detailed and useful descriptions. CLAM will surely help to increase the compatibilty between Mods which use a custom Localization. Thanks also for the credits to me and I'm glad that I could help you a bit.

    Hello there, at first, thank you for your work and time to effort it.
    My question is: how does this exactly work? I have a problem with perkaholic since the new update because the mod is still incompatible because the last update of percaholic was on march the 20th. You Mod CLAM does only have the localization folder in it. Do i have to wait for an update of perkaholic or is there a way to get it work with CLAM? thank you for your help

      I can help you.
      The mod percaholic (U mean the original mod?) has a file "mod.manifest"
      You must edit this file here (delete all lines <kcd_version>):
      <supports>
      <kcd_version>1.3</kcd_version>
      <kcd_version>1.3.1</kcd_version>
      </supports>

      After editing it should show like this:
      <supports>
      </supports>

      Then the mod will work now.
      I hope, this helps for you.

      BTW:
      You need CLAM only, if you use the mod "Loot info" together with the mod "percaholic".

      If you want, read my article for background info:

      Thanks for your fast reply. Now it works but the Perkaholic perks are empty icons, because I use the german version of KCD. Is there a solution for this?

      Edit: If you have to include the perkaholic mod into CLAMt as solution for this problem, pls just do it^^ The creator was last active on Nexus on March the 20th when he updated the mod the last time.

      Seems like you only have the english version installed:
      What files are in the \Mods\Perkaholic\Localization folder?
      There must be 2 files:
      english_xml.pak
      german_xml.pak
      Otherwise download the German mod again
      https://www.nexusmods.com/Core/Libs/Common/Widgets/DownloadPopUp?id=2228&game_id=2298&source=FileExpander
      and unzip the german_xml.pak into the localization folder.

      Do you use "Loot info" mod together with Perkaholic?
      If yes then install CLAM, because it has the solution for german version of perk Perkaholic.

      I use the same Perkaholic mod and it works for me.

      OR
      Another mod has a conflict with Perkaholic .
      Please post me your complete mod list for diagnostic.
