Some tweaks that aims to rebalance the mid and late game combats

Mod Description

Odolnost means resistance, strength in Czech. This mod focus on bringing real difficulty to fights after reaching level ~12. The objective is to bring more realism to late game fights, to encourage the player to use all his skills (such as combos) and other game's mechanics (such as poison and potions). Odolnost was designed with Roads are dangerous and More enemies in mind and with a realistic approach.


Experience changes

For example with Odolnost, you will need to : 
-Perform combos against stronger enemies or they'll take really low damage.
-Sharpen your blade and repair your gear before travel as it could really make the difference between life and death.
-Have real strategies against large groups.
-Always have potions or poison with you, just in case.
-Engage attack with bow as it is a fast way to get rid of an enemy.

-Sometimes consider fleeing.

Odolnost main features

Drastically decreased damage dealt by Henry
Increased damage dealt by enemies
Decrease armor effectiveness on Henry (only him)
Perfect parrys and master strikes are way more difficult
Perfect parrys and master strikes probability decrease for opponents
Improve agressiveness of groups and enemies
"Chain Strike" and "Cumans Killer" perks rebalanced
Hunting is completely independant from these changes
Archery is close to vanilla experience and is still effective


 



Installation : 
Drop .bak file into your Data folder


Compatibility :
Incompatible with mods that alter rpg_param.xml (carryweight changers for example).
Incompatible with mods that add perks.
(Possible fix : Mod merger. However I recommend keeping Odolnost's values in rpg_param.xml as some changes could lead to unexpected effects.)

Compatible with mods that alter armors or weapons
(Mods that increase armors will increase enemy's defence but also Henry's defence
. However changes on Henry armor effectiveness brought by this mod will remains effective. So armor mods will have full effect on enemy's armor, but reduced effect on Henry's armor. I personally keep vanilla armors, but installing an armor mod could be a good way to increase difficulty if you want to.)
 
Compatible with mods that alter soul's stats (like direct changes on enemy health or inventory)


Note :
Probably not suitable for <lvl 10/12. You should install this only when fights become boring. 
This is in "beta", and I'm focusing on different approachs to make the game become more difficult. Feedbacks are much needed to know how you experience the changes.


Next updates : 

After several hours of tweaking and testing, the main features are fine to my taste in V4. So the values probably won't change a lot for now.
I am now focusing on other changes, maybe about AI or about a modification scaling with player's level.
