This seems likea very ambitious and interesting mod from the little I could understand of what's been written on the main page but it falls flat because there's so little info, written poorly. I understand that this is an overhaul mod, but what I don't undertsand is what it actually adds to the game. There needs to be a clear distinction between what is currently implemented, and what is future content.
This is written as of writing this post, and I quote;
"-adds more races to play from" • What race does it add? What does it look like? What stats do they come with? How many are there?
"-is adding in new creatures" • Pretty much the same as above. This doesn't tell me anything.
"-making game play more interesting to encounter" • How?
"-filling the world with more towns and cities" • Show me these towns and cities, please. Tell me about them.
"-adding more tech" • What new tech does it add?
"-reworking some of the combat system" • How? What is changing?
"-making new animation for the player" • Tell me which animations you are adding. Do they replace old ones or add new?
"-adjusting stats to make game more balanced" • Which stats and how are they more balanced?
"-adding in new receipts that are needed" • Please tell me what receipts you are adding
"-adds new materials and crops" • Show them
"-adds drugs and new kinds of narcotics" • Talk about them
-are adding in unit creation in time • I don't understand what this means
-more to come! • Great!
My main issue here is that you're talking about all these interesting things that I would love to try out, but I have no idea what I'm actually downloading here. There needs to be proper written details about your mods features with in-game pictures. 90 degree rotatet, poorly taken shots of paper sketches I can't read doesn't do much for me.
Another problem is your installation instructions; they're quite hard to follow as a new player. I'm not sure how I add "The Beginning" into "The Forgotten Construction Set" It would be great if this was fleshed out a bit more.
All of this may seem harsh, but I am taking my time to write it because I am intrigued from what you have got going on here and I would like to check this mod out but I find it difficult due to issues mentioned above.
If you need help writing a main page, taking screenshots, creating infrastructure I would happily work with the two of you achieve this. Please don't take my critisism as hate or a simple negative statement but rather as a helping hand. I would love for this to grow. :)
Edit: I realize this project has probably been long abandoned by now. That is a shame.
Ya lol, died on impact. Op still clearly uses the site so IDK why he doesn't just take down the post at this point or make some sort of an announcement? It's whatever
