I think you got the cut efficency wrong, if you want 80% of your damage to be negated and the rest converted to blunt you actually need to put 0.2 in the FCS section and in game it will show as 80% cut efficency on the tooltip. As you have it now it actually negates only 20% of cut damage and converts 80% of it in blunt damage which is actually really bad for armor. In vanilla not even cloth armor has this bad cut efficency. Hope this helps.
Well you aren't wrong that is for sure, the Tooltip in the FCS was a bit tricky and well I got it wrong, it happens. I have done some testing and well I am surprised my main character is still alive heheh her toughness is around 78 now because of it. I will publish the change eventually and I appreciate your looking out.
The next time I do update it, It should not only be craftable in the leather armor bench but the blueprint for it should be something found in the Shinobi Trader store. I currently don't have a timeline when the update will drop but eventually.
looks really cool. But... no craft? And even when(/if?) you make it craftable, you going to dig up all game to add a useless resources, making lot of bugs and glitches? Thats sick, man. No matter how cool it looks - it just not worth it.
Actually it would be a clean edit. I would copy the leather that already exists. Making it a new item from the actual leather, give it a new texture. Set the item in fcs to be available as a loot reward for killing a skimmer nothing crazy just one of them. That way you can either; forget, use, sell and it wont overload your inventory. Although keep in mind this is just for the research aspect.
Its either that or just use the teeth already provided. I could reduce the amount that drops in fcs atm its set to 6. The number i wanted people to collect was 30 so if i reduce it to two teeth I would set the number to collect at 60. But it feels like cheating in the way that you are basically using the research to splice the skimmer scale DNA. Which could work and I had considered going that route.
farm a traider for a one or two items of good quality? I hate that. Man, you dont understand. Devs could add a zillion of resource names, like it some mmorpg. They could do it, but they choosed not to, and thats the right choice. It not just clean edit. You need to edit the creature to make it drop your resource, you need to create a copletelly different workbench with completelly different scripts to force it to use your resource instead of vanilla resourcess, and everything just to craft one single item... or a few retex of this item, whatever... Thats a whole bunch of useless work, same for you and the player, and also the whole bunch of s#*! that can (and most probably will) go wrong. Man, you did the good work. But now you insist on doung an even bigger bad work. Damn, i just dont get it...
I've done some work like this before, and it's really not that big of a deal. Something like the milk mod is a perfect example of a mod that adds a lot of unique resources, adds the crafting recipes to vanilla crafting tables, does it in the messiest way possible, and still works just fine after several game updates with no mod update.
actually you're wrong because it will be as easy as putting that leather on the leather table (vanilla) to be processed and you add the reseta to the table to make clothes and you don't need to do a lot of files or go crazy with the resetas and things, you just have to think how to do it in the easiest way possible and there is already a mod on steam that allows you to create this armor (and it is a very small mod)
So stop taking the mood of the creator of the mod because he just created something fantastic and surely he can improve it even more
You mean a black version of the Leotard? Lucky for you I am developing that color. Its super easy considering I used a color filter to make it red. Just removing it makes it black.
Or did you mean the Actual scales dark and the transparent portion being red. I have utilized some masks in a way that can achieve that color scheme as well.

I am glad that the mod is aided in your efforts. Revenge is a dish best served with Grog and large Shek women equiped with Giant Plank swords.
