About this mod

A highly modded build of a small town. If you're tired of parks being in the middle of nowhere and only accessible via magic tunnel or helicopter, this map is for you. If you want to create a highly detailed and realistic park, this map is for you. If you want to just let a buck rex run rampage in the wild, this map is definitely for you.

Something I found highly disappointing about both Dominion and JWE2 was that they failed to capture the wonder (and terror) of monstrous prehistoric beasts in familiar places. Only a few maps have any signs of civilization at all, and they're all far off background elements. With this build I aimed to rectify that, putting in all the hard work of manually creating buildings and replicating small town design features, so that others could use it as a jumping off point for things that Frontier wouldn't imagine in their wildest dreams. Use it as a base for high realism parks, keep it as a simple background element, or let dinosaurs and guests loose; the sky is (presumably) the limit.

The park is highly modded, of course, and many of the mods used are unstable or outright not finished. If anything breaks, please tell me, or feel free to upload a fixed version. I had other mods installed while making the park, but didn't use them, and I think that's fine? If there are issues I'll send out my full mod list. In general it might just be a better idea to have all the mods. It can't hurt, probably.  For the 1.0 file each mod used is the latest version with standard as of 8/12/23, with two key exceptions below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MAKE IT WORK AND NOT BE BROKEN:
Use Expanded Foliage Beta 2.04, not 2.05. I hate to encourage using old versions, but at least in my experience 2.05 makes trees disappear. If you find a more recent working version, please tell me and I'll update it asap. Absolutely don't go complaining to Kaiodenic because of issues with an old version that someone else told you to use. Remember, mods are at your own risk, and if you need to complain to someone complain to me.

While I didn't put it in the requirements as I don't recall using in in this way at any point that would matter and the configs are a headache, I did use the Overgrowth mod, specifically configurated so that things only grow over fences. If something is weird try that, and maybe tell me so I can make it official. I also just recommend that configuration to use all the time, but that's just me.

DLC:
There are no prehistoric creatures in the map, so species aren't an issue. I'm not certain if I used anything from Malta or Biosyn, but I'm going to assume they're both required. If I find out it works without I'll update, and if it's close I'll do my best to make versions accessible without DLC if it isn't too much work.

FEATURES:
  • Handcrafted suburban houses and road systems, mimicking Smalltown USA style.
  • Realistic town layout, with key features such as a school, a hospital, a hotel, apartments, a park, a pool, and whatever other stuff idk just download it
  • A farm on the outskirts of town, because it isn't a small town without corn.
  • Deer wandering the woods, because it isn't a small town without deer.
  • Guaranteed to make you at least two inches taller after downloading (probably).
