HighFleet Total Rebalance is the mod which is intended to make the stunning HF gameplay even better by attacking its design issues and introducing some new content.

CHOICE

Modules were rebalanced to introduce more choice into gameplay. Guns, missiles, aircraft, hull and armor - everything was tweaked to bring forward some forgotten parts.

COMPLEXITY

Several ships were completely redesigned to replace the incapable vanilla analogs. SG ships, missile boats, fast escorts, aux. cruisers now perform significantly better and fulfill their roles. EWAR equipment ranges were also tweaked. As a side effect, the game difficulty had grown up due to the AI having more durable ships, more strategic assets and more possibilities to get closer.

LORE-FRIENDLINESS

New crafts were designed based on existing vanilla ships to fit as much as possible. All redesigned crafts keep the idea of an original design.

NEW CONTENT

SG ships now carry unique equipment, which is lootable and may contribute either to your budget or your firepower. This should encourage you to get closer to the danger.

How to install: Extract the mod files into the game folder with replacement.
How to remove: Verify the game files. Note, that the ships you created with the mod won't get updated.

Why Beta?
I'm not sure about some balance decisions; the mod may need some polishing regarding the visual stuff; some oddities like "the game prefers to spawn ship X instead of Y" may also appear there.

Is it playable already?
Yes, I've beaten the game with it.

Save compatible?
No. It should not break anything, but no guarantees and you won't see most of changes until you restart.

I see no changes in a new game.
Restart again, this should work.

I see no new parts in the shipworks.
There's no currently known way to add new parts into the shipworks without replacing an already existing entry. You can load and rebuild a ship with a part you are interested in.

Ships still hold old part values.
Custom ships built in vanilla won't get automatically updated. You have to rebuild them by yourself.

I'm planning to release some modding tools in the future, which will allow to update ship files and something more.

How does it alter the difficulty?
Makes SG sturdier and significantly (but not dramatically) more punishing if you make a mistake. If you struggle with them, note that the Sevastopol got her Squall significantly buffed so it can still tear everything up in close combat. The endgame got even more difficult due to extensive amounts of enemy nukes and much better AA defences.

The difficulty question is complex and will be reviewed again many times in the future.

I don't like the feature X.
You can tweak the .seria files by yourself. It's easy to do with OL.seria (stuff not being recorded in the ship file like clip size, reload speed, etc.), but stats from parts.seria like HP or mass are more tricky - ship files already existing won't get updated and will hold old values until you reinstall the part.

I don't like the ship X redesign.
You can use vanilla ship files, they will work. But they will hold old part values, like hull/armor mass and ammo HP.

Just got a carrier from a tarkhan/shop and I don't see any aircraft in my airgroup!
I use the game itself to apply some changes to ship files after I tweak parts.seria (and recompute the rest by myself). The issue was reported to the dev and should be fixed in the next patch.

How to overcome - after you get a carrier, enter repairs menu. Now you can return to the map and aircraft should be there.

AI won't fire more than 8 missiles. Why?
Do you really want the AI to fire more?

I don't know, seems to be some AI code issues. I will possibly tweak Gryphons back to carry less missiles.
