PREVIOUS PATCH - 1.2.5 (for 1.003.000)
Alright. What this thing is exactly?
(blah-blah-blah, skip to the installation part if you just want to download the mod after being satisfied with results of my work in screenshots)
This preset boosts in-game clarity and also boosts your fps (Boost a lot depends on a hardware, so sure try it if you're in deep need of FPS and struggling on some old toaster)
Also, i've included a version of this config that i've merged with Hybred's mod, (for anyone who's lazy/doesn't know how to do that) give him an endore if you wish to. (also, this mod is my main inspiration for creating a config myself).
This mod can be considered as an alternative to a DRG mod that removes all the particles, but for HD2.
I've been making and testing this config for so long, that even I dont know everything it hides (probably), but here's a list of thing i can remember!
SES (Super destroyer/lobby):
- Removed Fog, (optional)
unnecessary planets in space/stuff,
everything displayed on monitors (not including main monitor with broadcasts, don't worry),
glass near cryo pods,
some lightning.
- Tweaked galactic war map by removing clutter (transparent grid, the gloom fog, space background). (optional)
- Got rid of space lightning from planet you`re currently on.
- Shading of character/guns in armory and mission preparing stage
- Shadows i could get rid off (partly optional)
Removed stuff on missions:
- Any fog/smoke (not including smoke grenade, spore charger's fog) that i could possibly remove (that Hybred's mod didn't hide). (partly optional)
- Bushes/grass models that aren't providing any debuffs and collisions and have no collision.
- Non-accessible background (including water type)
- Sample container model (you can still find it by looking on lightning it provides) (partly optional)
- Black thing under jungle trees
- (almost) Everything related to rain
- Cosmetic particles flying around
- Cosmetic decals
- Blood splatter that is possible to remove
- Trash on the streets, and basically any clutter with no collision
And probably other stuff i forgor. Might not sound like a lot of hidden cosmetic content, but it took me a lot of time to get rid of these things and maintain this config for it to work properly and get everything mod shouldn't remove back.
Some of this changes can reset when game is patched. Report if it does!
Remember to report everything that mod breaks, i will try to fix it (no promises)
How do i install this?
2) Select Helldivers2.exe in "Select a game or application"
3) Choose dx10/11/12 in selecting API
4) Choose whatever you want in effects list (doesn't imprortant, you can uncheck everything)
5) You don't need to select any plugins in plugins tab (if you really want, you can download Shader toggler plugin on the list, but its included in a new zip file for every version), finish the installation
6) After you done installing ReShade, drop everything in archive into Helldivers2/bin (browse local files in steam to easily find it)
Still having issues with installing for some reason? I've made a video installing the mod, you can watch it if installing help needed (some day i will update this
Q&A
A- yep. At least if devs won't decide to implement a new anti-cheat that blocks reshade with addon support
Q- How can i troubleshoot/report glitches to you?
A- Use nexus/discord (my id is alpn4)
Q- Can i get banned for using this?
A- No, you can't. I've been testing this mod of more than 3 months and i am still a ban-free diver.
In-depth: currently game uses an awful anti-cheat, unlike EAC, GameGuard doesn't see Reshade (add-on support version) as untrusted file, so feel free to use reshade in any way you want.
(New)
Q- How do i enable optional Togglers properly?
A- Check the mark to make then enabled on game startup, (not necessary) change enabling key if it bothers you.
