Hi, MXAO is causing flickering I read that quint wasn't updated for the newest version of reshade maybe thats why. I have tried both dx versions and the only solution is to turn it off and use PPFX_SSDO instead. Any ideas? Also the Magic Dof sometimes blurs my crosshair i'm not sure how to fix that besides disabling it. Any changes you could suggest for using this strictly for multiplayer? Thanks!
So, you have 3 choices: 1. keep it that way with the disadvantages 2. disable them by tapping "home" => uncheck effect 3. install the heavy version of the mxao effect, in other words, when you install reshade choose the mxao option and configure it.
on my side, I disable Mafic dof and I have no problem with mxao (I guess it depends on the compatibility card settings)
I wouldn't recommend downloading this. Followed the instructions that were given in the Youtube description, and it basically bricked my game. I keep getting the fatal Unreal Engine 4 error that was mentioned by one of the other comments but the fix they provided didn't work. Reinstalled the game and nothing has changed. Game worked fine up until I tried this, and now I am going on my third hour of trying to figure out what to do.
I'm sorry about that, but I didn't have this problem (it depends a lot on the hardware). Then, try to uninstall reshade instead (the problem comes from the incompatibility of direct x dll with your graphics card) delete (d3d9.dll or dxgi.dll), reshade.ini and reshade folder in your steam game path
If anyone is facing 'fatal error' try this.. When installing Reshade 4.4.2, select Directx 11 (not Directx 9) as Rendering API and then install as usual (as given in this preset's description page). Now in game directory, find '...Halo The Master Chief Collection\MCC\Binaries\Win64\dxgi.dll'. rename the 'dxgi.dll' to 'd3d11.dll'. Now run the game. This worked for me in Win 10 x64 1903.
Exactly, the principle of a reshade is to inject (change the reference of a file) a new graphic driver. Instead of taking d3d9.dll in windows system32, we specify the one that is customizable generated by reshade. So, in theory, there is no problem in detecting hacking, because nothing is altered in the game directly: what you see with the effects is a layer that is only externally managed by windows. Roughly that's what a reshade is.
