It seems like there might be a compatibility issue between the VR mod and ReShade shaders. Try running the VR mod without ReShade to see if that resolves the problem. If not, consider reaching out to the mod developers for assistance. And if you need help with your essay, you can use services like td pay for an essay If the issue persists, you could also try checking online forums or communities dedicated to VR gaming for further troubleshooting tips and solutions.
This works fine for original HL2 but I just cannot get it to work for the VR mod. The VR version runs fine vanilla, and with other texture packs. The non-VR version works with the Comic Book Mod. I've tried uninstalling everything, deleting my HL2 and HL2 VR game folders, reinstalling the mod, checking I've followed the instructions to the letter.
I have a GeForce card, and I've updated to the latest drivers.
No matter if I launch the game from Virtual Desktop, Steam VR or the normal Steam library menu, the 'Next Up' window appears but then the game immediately closes and the SteamVR Home loads instead. If you launch the VR mod from the desktop without Virtual Desktop running, the game window pops up and starts loading. You can see the Reshade details loading up at the top of the window. Then SteamVR realises there's no headset and closes the game.
The only clue I have is that the VR mod instructions say to use Vulkan shaders with ReShade, but DX9 with the flatscreen version. Could this be it?
Can anyone help? I really want to play this game in VR with the Comic Book mod as it looks great in the flat version.
It seems like you've done everything correctly, but for some reason, the texture pack isn't working with the VR mod. Have you reached out to the developer or community forums for assistance? They might have insights or solutions to help resolve the issue.
