This is pretty much essential for playing FF1PR, thank you so much.
I was unable to install this at first, but I got it to work eventually with the latest version. I think the problem is that some of the bundled files are outdated. I just did the following: 1. Install the latest pre-release of BepInEx (6.0.0-pre2 at the time of writing). FF1PR is now an IL2CPP game, so you need the latest BepInEx release. You need the IL2CPP Win x64 version: https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases/tag/v6.0.0-pre.2 2. Install the latest Magicite release (2.2.0 at the time of writing), since only the latest releases are compatible with BepInEx 6.0.0-pre2: https://github.com/Silvris/Magicite/releases/tag/v2.2.0 3. Install the UnityPlayer.dll that's patched to bypass the CRC checks: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy6pixelremaster/mods/101 4. Now just follow the steps as described in the Visual Revamp README, just skip the BepInEx and Magicite steps, and do not overwrite the UnityPlayer.dll (since we just did that ourselves).
You should be good to go, this worked perfectly for me, even on Linux.
Playing this game for a 2nd play-through but this time on a Steam Desk and works amazing. For other's that can't get it to work, follow the instructions properly. Wondering if you're gonna make one for FF3 pixel?, I used yours for FF2 pixel and that was also great :)
This mod doesn't work. The game won't even load, it goes straight to the menu, which has become a blank white screen. Waited over an hour and still no change. Waste of an hour.
Mmmkay, so like, the instructions and steps were good and specific, maybe not as concise as could be, but nonetheless, are actually accurate.
To anyone who struggles with this, please of created appropriate backups, you'll need it if you mess up somewhere. i.e rule-of-thumb.
You will be referring to keywords which otherwise specify specific areas, such as; "directories", etc. I think where most struggle is the overall comprehension and navigation and/or application in these instances.
Thank you, Gravrain for this mod. So far it really is more satisfying to enjoy.
Please help! I did followed all your instructions and have now done the process twice to get it working but it just keeps doing the infinite loading screen at the start and I am using the modded unity player. Iv been struggling for who knows how long now.
