For anyone having issues, check the Installation and Compatibility section of the mod page, and please always comment in your game's Memoria Engines version and both FolderNames and Priorities section found in your Memoria.ini file, or just a screenshot of your Memoria mod manager will do.

A: In actuality, the developers assumed that we would never be able to play Marcus after the Prima Vista event so they didn't bother triggering and returning his command sets to normal only until you would actually use him in Disc 2 (South Gate train boss fight). The fix I did (v3.2+) requires that you've just started Evil Forest. My fix will automatically assign Marcus' correct command sets then, otherwise, if you installed the mod after Evil Forest then Marcus would be stuck with his SFX commands until you reach Disc2 during the train boss fight to which he would join you with his new command sets.
Hi, I have a problem with the mod. My Marcus has a strange wording before the Contaminate ability. In fact, I see it like this: TXID=715]Contaminate First of all, I'm playing the game in the Italian version and I installed the following mods: Portaits pack; Kupo ui suite; support ability cost; moguri mod. Also, if I activate Alternate fantasy, Marcus doesn't have access to the new weapons, nor to the abilities to activate.

To be sure, place Tantalus above Alternate Fantasy in your Memoria's mod list, making it higher priority allows the changes done in Tantalus to supersede AF.
First of all I wanted to thank you and compliment you. It is not a given that a modder will continue to support users who have problems.Unfortunately I can't solve the problem, if I activate alternate fantasy it gives me the problems I mentioned above, I don't understand, maybe I'm doing something wrong? I tried to put the priority of alternate fantasy at the bottom, but nothing, the problems persist. However, I noticed that by activating alternate fantasy the bug of Marcus' ability name is solved.

Hello! I'm having a weird issue, all of Tantalus party seems to work properly, although for some reason Marcus has trance bar, entering trance removes his new commands and leaves him in some like vanilla state. I'm also using Beatrix mod, and I'm not sure, but I think Beatrix should have trance bar but for some reason it doesn't have it if that helps. I'm using the latest version of memoria I think (v2024.12.6) The mod order is as follows:

And I'm glad it eventually worked. The thing is, we can't dynamically apply the changes to a character's command set, and can only do it by triggering it at any point in the game. The first point of change is at the start of Evil Forest, the mod will then apply the new command sets and should be good moving forward. You may have probably activated the mod just after you went into Evil Forest, skipping the trigger.
The next is where you eventually got it fixed, at Disc 2 (this is vanilla for Marcus).
Out of curiosity,was there an intention behind the Tantalus crew not being able to equip the Dark Matter? It's not exactly a game-breaking issue,it's just a little goofy that the good ol' boys can wear women's earrings but can't carry one of the higher-end offensive accessories that could benefit them all. I could chalk it up to an accident if it were just one of them,but they all have the same accessory oddness. I'd originally assumed them having Angel Earring access was to ensure they had auto-regen,but they also get that through the Gold Hairpin along with Zidane so I couldn't figure out the mechanical reason for it.
Oh I actually didn't notice this. This is vanilla though, had I known I would have definitely added access to all regular accessories for them. If ever I'd update the mod, I'll add any other missing ones. Thanks!
Hello there! I seem to be having the common Marcus issue where he isn't able to learn any skills, nor access the abilities menu. Plus, in battle, he’s stuck with the SFX ability. My game's current progress is at Gizamaluke's Grotto. here's the the load order from the Memoria.ini
Heya, unfortunately, the fix I did requires that you should have the latest version (3.2) and just started Evil Forest. I hope you enjoy the mods! Marcus is especially the best one in terms of how naturally his new skills fit in the story (he will join with Chakra on him, giving Dagger her much needed MP battery support at that point in the game!). Oh and once you return back to the Burmecia storyline, best believe that Quina will hit like a truck and become a reliable party member onwards (most of the times anyways lmao).
I am enjoying the mods alright! Especially Cinna's support skills, and he hits like a truck.
One last thing! So before I entered Gizamaluke's chamber, I had Cinna with me. Upon initiating the boss fight, Cinna was replaced back with Quina. I take it the game automatically does that based on which of the main cast is in the cutscene. I was hoping to use the tantalus members through the main story, but I'm guessing there's no way around that limitation?
Yeah it's the game behaviour's automatically switching required party members for story-driven and boss fights. There is a way though to force the game to use the party you have, you need to go into the Tantalus folder you're using (in your case, the AlternateFantasy version), then edit the Memoria.ini file there and edit this line to: AllCharactersAvailable = 2
Be warned though, this may potentially cause your game to softlock, and even I haven't used this setting for this reason and we do not know which specific fights will softlock if this setting is turned to 2. So, use with caution!
Also having the same problem with Marcus that Darkdevil posted below. When I get control of Zidane in the evil forest all of the Tantalus members are working correctly except Marcus who will have his SFX skills. I'm playing on Memoria v2024.08.05 on a vanilla version of the game and my folder structure is as follows:
Another issue I've been having is that the playable Tantalus members all work correctly on my Disc 4 save, including Marcus, but Marcus' abilities are overwriting some of Beatrix's Shiroken trance abilities. Whenever I teach another skill to Marcus this will overwrite a further trance ability on Beatrix until her trance ability list effectively becomes Marcus' learned skill list.
I should also add however that I genuinely love this mod. It was enjoyable enough for me messing around on disc 4 for me to start a new playthrough to enjoy it the entire time. I really appreciate the work you've put into this project and hope I can be of help in fixing the issues I've been having.

And yeah, seeing this as a recurring issue for players with no mod order problems, I'll take a closer look and try to replicate what you encountered, can you also tell which part of the game are you in when you got the issue? As you may notice I have been asking the same to pinpoint whether this is something else beyond the mod.
The Marcus issue where he has the SFX abilities happens right as you get control of Zidane in the evil forest. So in the area shortly before the Prison Cage encounters where you can encounter fangs and goblins.
The Beatrix issue was just on the world map on disc 4 when you're meant to be dealing with Memoria.
I've replicated both of your issues and have already identified some of the problems.
I'll start with the Beatrix issue, this is an ability conflict that I will be able to fix soon. To be specific, this is a conflict between Tantalus vanilla and the Beatrix Mod (there's no issue with Alternate Fantasy versions).
As for Marcus still keeping his SFX command sets, I won't be able to do anything about it anytime soon as it's likely a game progression concern itself. My best guess is that as we're not supposed to have any extra characters during Evil Forest, the devs probably didn't need to flag and revert Marcus back to his normal command set (as he still have SFX just awhile ago in the Steiner/Bomb encounter). I'll keep testing but I assume this behavior might keep up until you actually use him again in Disc 2 (South Gate).
Unfortunately, for now you might have to skip using Marcus for a fair bit of early game.

hi, I notice that we have the same problem in the first steps of the game but I understand that in the last phases it is normal Marcus, I'm checking as @Emeiru said if the issue is resolved in the second disc
Don't worry, I've already identified a fix so that once the Prima Vista crashes, Marcus will have his intended command set available. Again, Marcus is intended to rejoin on Disc 2 at South Gate (specifically during the Black Waltz 3 fight) and that's the exact point he'll get his normal command set back.
I should be able to make an updated version with this fix soon!
hi, I encountered the same problem as user @ GialloYhosi1, with Blank and Cinna and ok but with Marcus he can't access the skills or anything else, I tried to prioritize the mod to play only with your mod but nothing, specific that I play in vanilla, Marcus only has the theater effect, I installed the mod before making a new game I don't know if I should install it after we get to evil forest... in that case I'll let you see if I did something wrong. ..
This is an incredibly weird bug, your mod order should be fine, but can be improved. In what stage of the game are you right now? Can you also confirm the Memoria version you're using?
Apart from this bug I do have some suggestions in your mod list. The Excalibur II mod can actually be removed now as the current Memoria engine has settings to disable the time limit now. You should also place all Moguri mods at the last/bottom of your mod list for orderliness, if you're using the Memoria mod manager just putting them at the lowest should be good. You also have several mods in the Priorities section that you aren't actually using (like Alternate Fantasy and Trance Seek and some Kupo mods), I'd check them, like so:

yes I love that I was close to Dali, but the problem is evident as said by the user @KupoBlitz already in the first part of the forest, I was now reading what you said to the user and it seems very plausible, we need to see when it starts to solve the problem on the second disk but I think when dealing with Daga and Steiner when they return to Alexandria I have to check that I'm still in the process of starting the second album, as soon as I know something I'll give an answer... thank you very much for your work and commitment...
So ive been playing this along with Alternate Fantasy. I havent been able to learn skills for marcus or blank. I could in disk 1 learn skills for cinna but they arent learnable now, im on disc 2. Could this be a load order issue. I downloaded the mod through memoria.
I see. Like what was described in the mod page, you need to put PlayableTantalus/AlternateFantasy after Playable Tantalus itself in the FolderNames section, this makes it so that the game recognizes the correct version of the mod to use, if you're using Memoria's mod manager, you should have only alternate fantasy version ticked/checked. I also suggest placing every Moguri mod below or last.
Or, you can manually correct your memoria.ini file like this: FolderNames = "HDChocographs", "PSXButtons", "PlayableTantalus/AlternateFantasy", "PlayableTantalus", "AlternateFantasy", "MoguriSoundtrack", "MoguriVideo", "MoguriMain"
