I'm incredibly happy with the state of the mod and have decided this will be the final and complete version.
I consider all of my mods to be 100% open and free, so if someone wishes to made a mod based entirely on one of mine with whatever changes I completely support it and you don't need my permission.
As of 1/24/22 I am no longer making mods for FF7r, so please don't request anything. I will however fix bugs if any are discovered.
This would be much better to use if the "and more" was more in depth. It adds the battle theme (which is very low) as a feature which i've had to manually remove. i've also done some testing on a Max Level Save and as soon as you win a fight, it puts everyone to around level 99. Would've been nice knowing this stuff. I don't want my party to be Lvl 99, they weren't meant to be.
Hey, I'm aware this is quite an old comment, but how did you go about removing the battle theme? Mechanically, this mod is exactly what I'm looking for but this forced battle music change is very annoying. If you could point me in the right direction so I can make the change myself, or just share your edited version, it'd be very appreciated.
Hello, if you still need help for this, it's quite easy to do. Simply download the version and you're going to need to obtain a program called UnrealPak/UnrealUnpak. From there you need to drag the pak file, unpak it, it'll make a folder with all the information, remove the sound folder with the BGM in it, and drag that folder back onto unrealpak with compression, and voila.
I can't open your pak file in UnrealPak. Is it encrypted by chance? I really want to change the music back to the original. Any chance for that option?
I love the mod. the only issue is whenever I summon (carbuncle, Cactuar and Chocobo chick) the ATB bar freezes. others summons are working fine. is there a way to fix it? overall the Mod is really enjoyable
Every other .pak mod I've placed in the steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE\End\Content\Paks\~mods folder clearly works, but this one does not and I have no idea why.
ATB still charges on basic attack hits, ATB auto-charges at the default speed, enemies are clearly weighted to attack the controlled character, materia doesn't affect stats, only 1 summon per battle ... if I remove the file, nothing about the game's behavior changes.
Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? No requirements were mentioned other than adding this mod's .pak file to that specific folder, but am I possibly missing something else?
Man, this mod is almost perfect. It has every gameplay change I was looking for, and the classic materia patch is a welcome addition, but I wish the classic battle theme was a modular patch like the materia one and not a built-in feature of the mod. I find it a bit intrusive, especially since the audio is so low compared to everything else. Shame that this wasn't suggested or considered while the mod was still receiving updates.
It would be awesome if You could make a True Turn based Combat Mod. so when you encounter enemies, you all run into position and have a Turn based Battle around the ATB counter, you can choose to attack with melee, defend, or use spells, abilities, items Ect... perhaps with a next turn bar comparable to how its done in FFX

I'll look into this today
Fixed, packed the mod with the wrong file structure, sorry about that
