I tried the only other replacer/encoder mod for the Regalia on nexus (the Radio Tuner mod) and it limited replaced songs to the original song's length - the replaced song kept playing, but it got cut off.
Your method might not be as "fast" or "streamlined" as that mod, but as long as I can listen to my songs to their completion, it is superior in my eyes. :D
