The update to 3.2 has been a little mess, and for that I apologize. Issues with the application of the Ignore Evade and Anti Libra augments getting removed from enemies crunched and messed with various files in certain areas, causing the game to crash. 3.2.1 is a temporary update that has the changes of 3.2, but has removed the deletion of Ignore Evade and Anti Libra on enemies (meaning they will still have these augments). These augments will be removed in the future when we can fix the process and ensure no files get negatively impacted along the way.
Additionally, Foreign Lands has moved away from Draklab installation and into using Vortex. You can find Vortex here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=description
When downloading 3.2.1 and beyond, the folders you would previously upload to Draklab are now zipped. After installing Vortex and following the readme.txt instructions for installing mods for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (All easy stuff), you can simply drag and drop those zipped folders into the mods section of Vortex and install them in a similar fashion to how Draklab functioned. The readme.txt has a step-by-step list of installation instructions.
Why Vortex is better is because I no longer need to keep updating the FileSizeTable_US and you as the player will no longer need to worry about replacing yours with it (Though I have included a vanilla version of the file so that you can revert yours back to normal). The FileSizeTable was related to some other areas where the game was crashing, like at the Archades Aerodome, and was generally a pain for me to deal with and for you to install. Vortex does all this work for us, so no one needs to worry about it or suffer from crashing because of it.
**IF YOU ARE GETTING AN ERROR INSTALLING THE MOD** I've noticed a few players posting or PMing me that they had issues getting the mod to work. What I think is the most prominent issue is that players are not applying the files correctly, so please make absolutely sure that you're following these steps when installing Foreign Lands and let me know that you made sure to do this if you have an error with the mod beyond this:
There are several zipped folders inside the download: the standard, 1 license board, and with quickenings versions of the mod. Make sure you're NOT unzipping those folders and you ARE dragging 1 of them into your Vortex depending on the format you want to play in. You only need 1 of them.
If I know you did this step correctly, then it will help me a lot in helping you resolve additional errors in getting the mod to work.
This doesn't feel challenging at all, if anything its easier than the core game, going to put another 4-5 hours into it to be sure, but so far feel mislead
It is a cool mod that revitalized some interest in the game though.
Maybe it happened to you like me and you installed it wrong, this mod has incompatibility with several Xeavin mods, I had to remove Insurgent Manifesto, Scale Monster and Companion from my list of mods for it to work correctly, after that I went out with Vaan lvl 1 to kill a wolf on the outskirts of Rabanasta and I had to hit it more than 5 hits to be able to kill it xd
How do I know if I installed this mod correctly? Other mods change the image when you start the game, such as Struggle for Freedom to know if you installed it correctly
Everything was working fine until I got Basch in my party. He was set to Kannagi automatically. I tried resetting his license board using Old Dalan from the insurgents Manifesto mod and also at montblanc, not sure which mod that was from. But yeah Basch is stuck as a kannagi and I don't really want him on that class...
Okay for anyone else with this problem, I just disabled all other mods excepts those necessary to run The Foreign Lands, changed his License board, then re enabled the mods
Hi, I've been loving the changes to the linces board and the whole new tecnics! Just a quick question since I cannot find information anywhere: is this mod supposed to be played with a normal game or it can be played with new game minus? Thank you!
Hello, I'm super super sorry, I wish I would be better at installing mods but this is the very first time I struggle that much at installing one. I'm pretty sure I did everything asked and yet I cannot make this mod work. Could it be related to the last update 4.0.1 ?
I fixed my issue by clicking the bell top right corner in Vortex and "deployed" the mods ! (Yes I feel super dumb). If it can help the next guy coming here for this :)
Hi, Just downloaded the mod 4.0 version and I downloaded everything required through Vortex. The mod seems to be sort of working, though the enemy's HP/stats are def not doubled, is this normal?
Edit: So I am not sure what I did or why 4.0 doesn't have mobs with double HP. BUT I downloaded the 3.2.3 version, and it does have the mobs with double HP so, I guess I will stick with that since its working as intended.
Can confirm. 4.0 has no increase in hp/stats. Spent all day trying to find a workaround, there isn't one. Glad I saw your post, or I wouldn't have bothered trying 3.2. Doing that now, expect it it'll work.
Hey, I made a mistake while creating the v4.0.0 update which is why foe stats, battle logic, etc. are all like in vanilla. I have just fixed the issue and sent Ty the new version (4.0.1). It should be released soon.
