I've noticed that the Ninja Blades have incorrect items in them when playing the game. Basically they are the classic licenses instead of the zodiac license. Except Ninja Blade 3 since that one was a new license added with TZA. Is there a way to directly edit what the licenses provide so we can fix things like this ourselves?
EDIT: Actually, found the reason for the problem...it was that battle pack binary file that was used from another mod when i copied their file path to use for making a personalized license board. They edited the licenses to fit the classic board which is good except there were new items added that can't be equipped with that board.
hey just wondering if its at all possible to create unique licenses that dont currently exist using things that do in game, an example of what i want to do is im making the bosses as of current have 10x hp and regular mobs have 6x among other changes to theri stats, so im wanting to make the game longer and more strategic so for super suuuppper late game power i wanted to have licenses on the board that cost 9999 lp for lets say permenant libra on that character or protect, as some weapons and armor do this it would basically be just taking that function and applying it to the board, any way to do this?
hello, i love this idea of this mod, just don't get how it works.
I already made my own licence boards from scratch, but when i try to load the file of them in draklab, but i got an error : Error loading the mod. Chek the log.
Boards are in SNES format, but i can open them with the mod. I just don't get it, i'm not really used to mods so sorry if it's really easy to fix and i'm just dumb.
So, what exactly is the method here to put your board in to the game? I drafted one up and tried mirroring the file path mentioned in the description, but it doesn't seem to -either- add a new option on the zodiac wheel, or replace an existant one.
Could you please re-upload the original version. There was an exploit where you could put multiple essential blacks down so you can make multiple trees of upgrades rather than branching from one starting point you could have multiple. I would like to re download that version because I was able to do interesting stuff with it.
What''s the issue? Go to the 'Files' tab and you can see under 'Old Versions' every older public version is available for download there. Keep in mind we are NOT responsible if you bork your save game file(s) when messing around with older stuff so do please make a backup!
Is there a method within this program to change the name of the license board itself? For example, renaming the classes to more traditional FF classes?
The method (right now) involves manually hex-editing specific files in a specific way. It isn't easy. If you want to check my Nexus profile, I have a link to my FreshGaming Discord server along with some of the FF12 modders that hang out there to help answer questions you may have about the process.
I'm new to this, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. But, do I still need VBF Browser at all to use this, or only DrakLab? I ask because when i tested it (before making any new boards), it gave an error message. To verify it wasn't DrakLab, I downloaded another mod I didn't plan to use, and DrakLab read it no problem, but still nothing for this one.
I noticed there's no "mod" file with the .zip, is that why? The test mod had one, and I looked over older versions of this one, and they had more than 3 items within. Thanks for any help you can provide.
(EDIT) I noticed the .bin files are being read by my computer as the same sort of file my SNES9X uses to emulate games, but that was also true of the test mod I downloaded. I don't see it being the cause, just a curiosity.
This utility allows you to create custom license boards. You can modify the ones created by others or you can modify the ones you copy from your own VBF file. In the Description of this utility is a download link for various sets of license boards.
Once the boards are modified to your liking, you'll want to use the DrakLab Mod Loader to load the mods. VBF Browser is primarily used to copy files from the VBF so you can modify them yourself. Using DrakLab also makes it easier since you don't need to constantly replace your entire VBF file whenever you want to switch out or update a mod.
