Thanks a lot, this is a huge QoL. Any possibility to add an optional file with Decoy also being more MP expensive, to make up for its perfect accuracy and prolonged duration? I guess 30-40 would make it fair, since the mod triples the duration (20->60) and makes accuracy x1.66 times better (60%->100%).
Hey, i'm glad you like the mod! and i wish i could help you out but i no longer have the battle pack editor that i used to make this and it's been taken down from the nexus and from the looks of it the whole damn internet. Without it i have no way to edit the .bin file and unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a replacement tool for it.
I seem to have found a working version of the battle pack editor, i'll have a look and see what i can do. Since i no longer have the game installed you'll have to do the testing for me :)
edit: new version uploaded, give it a shot and see how it feels!
Wow, didn't expect such quick reply! I just tested and it works like a charm, consuming 27 MP with one cost reduction augment and all other features work as intended too. Thanks!
I am now having a different issue semi-related to your mod; I also tried Vanilla Difficulty Mod and both modify battle_pack.bin so I can only use one or the other. Can that battle pack editor you mentioned help me merge two mods like that and where I can find it if so? Never used or heard of it.
I don't see why that wouldn't be possible, but without knowing exactly what that mod changes it would take forever to search and compare all the values to the default ones. It would most likely be faster to edit the Vanilla Difficulty Mod with my changes, but i will have to ask the modder for permission to do that so thats what i'll do!
Oh yea i kinda forgot to upload the mod after i asked permission to combine the 2 mods, luckily i still had the files so i've just uploaded a merged version, enjoy!
edit: this merged version will only work for the US version of the game.
Hi thank you so much for that! I used the 30 MP version and it works perfectly. Before, I sometimes had to recast the spell 10x in the middle of a fight... And with harcord mods, it's so useful to have a tank in the team. That's exactly what I came for!
If possible could you explain how you made Decoy not miss? I want all buffs to be the same as libra so this mod conflicts with longer buffs, but I not sure how to edit miss rate. I know how to change the durations myself. Thanks.
By default decoy is a debuff that is applied to your characters and has a miss chance, i just changed it to a buff so it can't miss. I no longer have the mod tools installed after a format, but you can compare my battle_pack.bin to the one in the mod you want to use and should be able to easily find the changes i made.
edit: i used the ff12 Battle Pack Editor to edit the .bin file but that seems to have been taken down. I'm not sure why but maybe you can still find it somewhere online
Are you sure it's this mod that's causing it? The mod doesn't do anything related to items at all. Are you using any other mods? if so, have you tried disabling one mod at a time?
Also it would be useful to know in what language you're playing the game.
Im a German dude and i have FF12 TZA (PC/Steam) testet it in German and English, and it does not work in both Languages.
Installed with Dark Lab and Mod is activated.

- Edit - What did i do: - Download Dark Lab - Open Dark Lab - OPEN VBF (FFXII_TZA.vbf (in game folder)) - ADD MOD - Apply Changes - Start Game - Buff Decoy - Decoy can miss, and duration ends about after ?20 seconds.
Hi, does there is a way to make this mod work for other language?
I do not know anything about moding or programing, But if u can tell me a simple way to make it work for French language, i'll try my best :) juste in case, Decoy is "Leurre" in french
Nvm i found a way to do its, for those who's want to try it i made a post on the forum to explain how to proceed, doing the same mode for all language chould take around 10 mn idk why they didn't do it here

It's exactly what I want, I'm currently playing on Deck and would love to have a pre merged file, if possible.
Thank you very much : )
