About this mod

This is a simple mod that lets you quickly access any trial stage you want. Saves some time when you keep restarting trial to get to a specific stage. It also enables save option at the end of stage 100, allowing you to keep the items you stole from bosses and picked up from chests in this stage (original game doesn't give you that opportunity).

Trial Stage Selector and Stage 100 save option

This is a simple Quality of Life mod that lets you quickly access any trial stage you want. Saves some time when you keep restarting trial over and over to get to a specific stage to loot/steal items.

It also enables save option at the end of stage 100, allowing you to keep the items you stole from bosses and picked up from chests in this stage (original game doesn't give you that opportunity for some weird reason).

This mod doesn't make any other changes.

Mod in action (yes, I had cheats enabled to save you some time ;) )

Other stuff

Version log:

v1.0a
  • text fix ("level" changed to "stage")
  • fixed readme
  • new compiler used, fixing potential issues (none observed)
  • files much smaller in size

v1.0
  • initial release

Installation:
  • Place the "patch-trial" folder in your game's data directory (where FFXII_TZA.vbf is).
  • Run install.bat in "patch-trial" directory. If anything is wrong, it will show an appropriate message.

Uninstallation:
  • Just run remove.bat in "patch-trial" directory.

Compatibility with other mods:
  • As long as a mod doesn't change any of the two files (tri_a01.ebp and tri_t05.ebp), mods will be compatible.
  • Please note, though, that it's probably best to install this mod last if you want to have multiple active. Many mods replace filesizetable_us.fst file, which will break my mod. On the other hand, my mod doesn't replace the table, it just patches right values in, so previously installed mods shouldn't matter.
