any mod to remove or move unwanted mineral and animal resources? would love to move boars and what not away from where i want to build my town. or is this in a mod and i'm just missing it?
Please add a feature to remove/delete deep mines as well. Some deep mines are under my housing area and it annoys the OCD on me so bad. Thank you for your consideration.
Have you tried deleting your existing MelonLoader files and folder and downloading a new/ up-to-date one? I know you said you updated MelonLoader, but did you DELETE the existing files and folders? There are config files that you should get rid of, and let the new MelonLoader auto-create new ones.
Try these steps: - delete existing MelonLoader folders - delete existing MelonLoader .DLL files (should be 2 of them in the root of the game folder - download new MelonLoader and place files and folder in game folder - run the game - give the game a couple minutes for MelonLoader to run its scripts, etc - save the game, and completely exit the game - run the game again, see what kind of results you get
Hmm. well i tried removing the melon folder and dll file dont recall there being a cfg file just my other mod cfg's. Reinstalled latest melon but same issues. even removed all other mods i have encase of confliction but same problem with just this mod on. Wondering if i need to re download this mod again encase i have a bad file
EDIT: Well i tried re-downloading the file again going in-game saving exiting reloading etc.. but no luck again. When i deleted melon folder and that one file. i checked all other folders in farthest frontier main folder all its subfolders etc.. couldnt see anything else with melon on it so unless there are files not called melon that are to do with melon outside of the melon folder then im pretty sure i got them all. So im not sure why it wont work.
Well, I am confused why it is not working for you. It literally works without error, as does about a dozen other mods for this game (that I downloaded from Nexus). Give this a try:
- Inside the game folder is a folder called UserData, make a copy (backup) of it to another folder outside of the game folders - delete the UserData folder that is in the Farthest Frontier folder (it will get recreated automatically) - run the game, see if it helps
ahh ok so the cfg must of been the one 1 removed. but ya i removed the melon cfg in there and the folder itsself and reinstalled but no luck
Re-installed again melon making sure the cfg is deleted. Re-checked every single folder and file in the entire game main folder and subfolders. But seemed to just be the cfg and the main melon folder that i could find. But ya, still no good.
I dont know if it matters but im using a nvidia card and i had once seen i little box pop up to do with it for enhancements etc.. It had a alt-R for checking frames etc.. After rebooting the game again i didnt have it pop up again nore when using the command did it show frames. So i thought maybe it was the cause but that doesnt explain the other gold and iron not working. i tried to find a way to disable it but no luck
Well, I am at my wits-end (so to speak) about this... The only thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is that I have "Steam Overlay" disabled. I am not saying this is the reason, but I'm out of ideas right now.
IF (and this is your choice) you want to also disable Steam Overlay: - open the Steam client - click Steam on the top menu bar (top left) - click Settings - click "In Game" on the left menu bar - toggle off "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" - then run the game and see if it works
Again, I am not saying this will work or not... up to you whether you want to try.
EDIT: just popped into my head, that someone, somewhere, had mentioned something about a game overlay that was running with their graphics card software and it was affecting some gameplay with mods. Again, not saying this is your issue, but might be something for you to investigate.
Doesn't work on version 0.9.2 and I don't know what to do :( No resources appear: neither deep nor ordinary. Rebooting, saving and other lifehacks did not help. Has anyone had this happen?
Not sure what you're doing wrong, because I am using game 0.9.2 and this mod (and many others) without problems.
Make sure you are using the most recent MelonLoader available. Make sure you are copying the .DLL files from the mod downloads into the proper mod folder. Follow the mod directions for use...
I'm doing those above things, and all the mods that people say are not working or need updating actually work for me. No problems.
1. Once you download most recent MelonLoader, copy it's .DLL files and it's MelonLoader folder into the root folder of the game (where the "Farthest Frontier.exe" file is located) [Melon Loader website] <-- where you get MelonLoader, I personally like the Manual installation
2. Download desired mod(s) - i have a download folder for the all the games i play, unzip the mod somewhere there
3. Make sure you have a "Mods" folder in the root of your game folder - same place the MelonLoader folder is, and the game executable
4. Copy the mod .DLL file and any others (if it has any), into the Mods folder - NOT any folders, just the files !!!
That's it... run the game, then follow the mod instructions. Any additional mods? You don't have to re-do step 1, just deal with the individual mod files. Put ALL the mod files into the one Mods folder (which is inside the game folder).
already mention this somewhere in the comments, chec melon console, if theres any error logged then it failed, if no error log, then the site already spawned, just try to build the mines, move over the building on the same spot where the mine spawned, you should see the circle area. if not try to savr and reload the game
I can only get sand and clay to spawn immediately. I kept trying to spawn coal and nothing would appear. However, I spawned coal, saw nothing, and then grabbed a coal mine to build and the gray circle for a coal resource did appear in the area that I tried to spawn one. So, the resource was there, but the button did not appear.
Is there a limit to the number of resource nodes that can exist on a map? I was able to spawn regular clay, coal, and sand nodes. But now I can't seem to spawn gold nodes (LCTRL + G) or coal nodes (LCTRL + C). The text log for MelonLoader says that they were spawned, but they don't appear in the game.
*edit* The nodes do spawn, but they don't become visible until the map is reloaded.
Any chance we can get it so can spawn regular resource points not just Deep so we can use this early game even if it is configurable via config file to swap from regular to deep mine and not change the hotkeys

thank you!
Tried save/reload etc.. but doesn't do anything.
Updated melon and then or though not consistent, I could get iron and gold to spawn but not rock.
Others would spawn right away as well but yet these ones required reload to show. Accept for rock. That one is stubborn
I'm using 0.9.2b, and I just successfully spawned EVERY item that this mods says it can.
