I don't know if it is the game or Melon Loader. I was advised to use melon 6.1 and not the latest so that is what is running. The game is v0.9.2b. I'm getting this
    17:56:21.392] [CompostYardOverhaul] Initialized
    [17:56:36.973] Cant find Window
[17:56:37.036] Start setting desirability multiplier 1.5x
[17:56:37.093] !!! Failed to load assets, try to use provided AssetManager
in Melon loader and then the loader get caught in a infinite loop till I quit the game. No mods work at that point. and I had to remove it to play.

please update for version 0.9.0 as it seems not working, still only one worker slot

EDIT: don't know what happened as suddenly compost started having 2 workers after some time of playing (like an hour)

The Farthest Frontier patch 0.8.2 added this mod function to the game. Thanks for making the mod, it was super usefull. The only thing I'll miss, is the ability to add more worker to the compost yard.

can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm running ML v0.6.0 and .NET6, extract the lastest version of the mod into my mods folder and try to launch the game. Always crashes while ML is loading mods. Works fine with all my other mods, but for some reason it is having an issue with this one.

Does it write any error in the MelonLoader/Latest.txt log file? Can you share what mods you are using?

You're running FF v0.8.1? Because those mods don't work for that version... If you're running old version, use Compost Yard Overhaul v1.1.1a

Go to settings in the Melon Loader installer and tick the box for alpha versions, then 6.0 will show up.

Excellent fast response to the Unity change in FF version 0.8.1... downloaded but not installed yet as I am waiting for the other crucial mods I use to update also before updating or playing FF again. I won't play the vanilla version. MelonLoader v0.6.0 ALPHA is the one we all must use  to make our mods with the new FF update... hope all other mod makers update as fast as you have. well done...

So what you are saying is that all other mods are using Melon Loader v0.5.7 while Compost Yard only works with ML v0.6.0?<
Wich would explain why I can't get CompY to work at all whilst the other mods do.
I thought there was something wrong on my end so I got SDK 6.0 and un-installed SDK 7.0...

For others suffering with getting SDK 6.0 or 7.0 or whatever, here is a sweet and effective guide:
      https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/dotnet-now-on-windows-package-manager/
      (PS: Not a modder :))

Unity released a new version that uses .NET 6 (instead of 4.7 Framework that they've used for the past several years). The developers updated to this version which changes a lot of things in the game engine.

MelonLoader 0.6.0 ALPHA is the first version to support games that use the .NET 6 Unity engine. Mods need to be updated, and users need to update their ML version.

If you want, you can keep using older versions if you play on FF 0.8.0. You'll need to use Compost Yard Overhaul 1.1.1a. I keep previous versions available for download for this reason.

I read a post on Steam claiming that Melon Loader works for the new update and that the mods are what needs updating.

I myself don't have a clue either way

Thats what I have seen as well.  I wish I knew how to do this stuff.  I simply cant stand the base game anymore after playing with mods. Big bummer

      Please try version 1.2.0.

Make sure you are using MelonLoader v0.6.0 ALPHA without errors when running with the game with no mods.

If you are using MelonLoader express installer, go to Settings and check "Show ALPHA pre-release", then you will see the ALPHA versions in drop-list.

If you haven't yet, download and install .NET 6 SDK and try again. Otherwise, you might need to delete the MelonLoader generated files in your game and reinstall MelonLoader. Hopefully these issues are fixed with the normal 0.6.0 release.
