Tried to start a new game twice since the game itself corrupted a long save file i had, crashed twice after confirming character and sitting in the loading screens.
1. Download Gibbed's toolset (https://www.moddb.com/mods/far-cry-2-redux/downloads/far-cry-2-mod-tools) 2. Drag and drop the patch.fat file from the mod that you're using as a base on Gibbed.Dunia.Unpack (you can also use the original patch files that come with the game) 3. Merge my "raw" mod files into the newly created patch_unpacked folder 4. Drag and drop the patch_unpacked folder on Gibbed.Dunia.Pack, rename the new patch files and put them in the data_win32 folder inside the game installation directory (make sure you backup the original patch files somewhere beforehand)
No, my overhaul mod has other changes embedded in the same files. You can look at what I changed (for this mod alone) and revert it, but deleting the files themselves will cause problems.
What you're saying would normally make sense though.
EDIT: For me, this mod causes the game to trigger the Jackal cutscene as soon as you complete the "buy a weapon and equip it" objective before you visit Mike's bar. Tried it twice, with different characters.
Great tool for testing mods that require a fresh game. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for telling me about this. I fixed the issue, but it turns out skipping that far ahead breaks the mission scripting later on. I've uploaded a new version which only skips the taxi ride & Jackal cutscene, and didn't get any of those issues.
Navigate to your FC2 installation folder, open the Data_Win32 folder and create a backup of the original patch.dat/fat files, then copy the files from my mod into the same folder.
