Jungle Fever seeks to breathe new life into Far Cry 2 through the use of advanced post-processing shaders courtesy of ENB and ReShade, with a more visually pleasant style that doesn't butcher the look of the original game.
I was pretty happy with my previous ReShade, Paradise Lost, and figured I'd take a crack at one for a game I actually like. Far Cry 2 also comes with an ENB that I tweaked, which allows the game to have darker nights without you having to push a button like you did with my prior preset. So with that, I present Jungle Fever for Far Cry 2.
NOTES
You need to play this on DX9 for the enb to work.
This comes packed with a fully-functioning night-vision effect, to help you see during the now darker nights. Simply use the buttons listed below
Creating compatibility between the ENB and ReShade has potentially jumbled things, so please let me know if you have issues getting it to work. Problems I anticipate are not getting the ReShade preset to work, if that is an issue, please leave a comment so I can help you.
When you launch, you will get a ReShade compile error. In spite of this, the preset works fine and you may continue as planned
To enable ReShade entirely, you may have to select the preset from the ReShade GUI. Open it with END, and select Jungle Fever.ini from the drop down list
ENB has a 3-5 FPS Drop
ReShade has an 8-12 FPS Drop
Night Vision has a 3-5 FPS Drop
HOTKEYS
Open ENB GUI
"SHIFT+ENTER"
Open ReShade GUI
"End"
Toggle ENB Effects On/Off

INSTALLATION
The installation process is a little more complicated than last time. In the Read Me, I have written out all the instructions necessary, but I am placing it here as well
1. Download Far Cry 2 ENB and ONLY extract the d3d9.dll, placing it in your Far Cry 2 bin folder.
2. Go to ReShade's website, ReShade, and select download. I used ReShade 4.3.0, so in the event that a future update breaks this preset, download it off the repository here: ReShade Repository
3. Start up ReShade, find FarCry2.exe (go to your install directory, select bin, and it should be there), select Direct3D 10+.
4. Place bin folder from my file in your Far Cry 2/bin directory, located in your install folder i.e. C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 2\bin.
OPTIONAL
1. Place the contents of My Documents in your Far Cry 2 documents directory, i.e. C:\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2. Pick one based on your preferred FPS (NOTE: Supposedly, having your framerate go any higher than 60 can cause game breaking bugs. I have not encountered any, but you may wish to choose the 60fps config file if you're worried about potentially breaking your game, or if your monitor doesn't support higher FPS)
Remember to type "exec iq.cfg" without quotes in your console every time you launch the game
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, I recommend enabling SSAO via the following (discovered via PCGamingWiki)
1. Download and run Nvidia Profile Inspector.
2. Under Profiles type Far Cry 2.
3. Under Ambient Occlusion compatibility insert the flag 0x0000002D (MechWarrior Online).
4. Under Ambient Occlusion usage select Enabled.
5. Under Ambient Occlusion setting select your quality of preference.
6. Click Apply changes.
NOTE: This will create very obvious occlusion lining in some distant landscapes, such as rocky mountains. If this bothers you, simply disable the feature
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card I recommend enabling anisotropic filtering and transparency AA via the following instructions
1. Launch NVIDIA Control Panel
2. Select Manage 3D settings, then select program settings
3. Find Far Cry 2.exe under the list of executables
4. Set Anisotropic Filtering to 16x
5. Set Antialiasing - Mode to Enhance
6. Set Antialiasing - Setting to 8x, or lower if your rig can't handle it
7. Set Antialiasing - Transparency to 8x, or lower if your rig can't handle it
