Here's how to have the suggested mods always in the game without having to keep retyping them when you load a save:
First, go to your documents > My Games > Far Cry 2 Once there, create a .txt file and name it "config" without the quotes.
Then write the tweaks inside of it : GFX_HemiQuality 2 GFX_LeavesShadowRatio 1 GFX_SunShadowRange0 14 GFX_SunShadowRange1 30 GFX_SunShadowRange2 160 GFX_MaxHemiMapDistance 10000
After doing that, only if you DO have Far Cry on steam : Right click Far Cry 2 on steam, go to proprties and set launch options, Write "-exec config.txt" without quotes inside the box.
Only if you DON'T have it on steam : Create a shortcut of you Far Cry 2 .exe, right click the shortcut, go to properties and write "-exec config.txt" without quotes at the very end of the target field.
As your mods' name suggests, Far Cry 2 becomes more realistic and immersive with this mod, you now feel like you're traversing the continent of Africa, rather than a hot videogame biome, great work! Kudos!
Hey, I love this mod very much, but I'm having an issue with the AR-16 scope just looking completely green. Like having a night vision scope during the day, what settings should I adjust to fix this?
if you launch through steam, put -maximized in the steam launch options, or if you launch through a launcher, make a shortcut, and tick the maximized box near the bottom of the window.
So I use a combination of this and Redux and once I change all the recommended settings in Ini and everything I launch all is well I set all video settings to max and enable Direct x10 like suggested, do a restart and blam now everytime I try to launch it's just the music playing in the background with blackscreen. :'c

Start the game and it should work properly! :D

Keep up the good work.
PS: For me personally the game looks even better just with your mod and without the console tweaks.
