This mod looks like it is exactly what I need to make London survival doable. I am trying to decide which version to use. Is there a reference point for the damage multiplier? Does the 133% outgoing and 25% incoming make it similar to normal mode damage. Does the 100% outgoing and 40% incoming make it closer to hard?
according to a search on the matter, this is data i found:
Very Easy : Player 2.00x / Enemies 0.50x Easy : Player 1.50x / Enemies 0.75x Normal : Player 1.00x / Enemies 1.00x Hard : Player 0.75x / Enemies 1.50x Very Hard : Player 0.50x / Enemies 2.00x Survival : Player 0.75x / Enemies 4.00x
I would love a version that increases the damage we do instead of nerfing the damage we receive thanks. Tried to do it myself as a modding noob and failed
Would you consider making a lethal damage version? Maybe reduce incoming damage to slightly less, like to 80% instead of 40%, but also increase damage to like 175% to make the bullet sponges less painful. That's just ball-park numbers, I'm sure there would be a better ratio.
Could probably do this my self, but I've got FOLON running by a thread on MO2, and I really don't want to stuff any thing up.
Just fyi, if you didn't know, Survival adds a perk named HC_DamageMultPerk which multiplies incoming and outgoing damage by 2.00 and 1.50 respectively. Idk how ur implementation is, but if your just reducing the difficulty damage multipliers by 40%, then then the perk is going over that and making it effective. If your wrapping it over through then your probably fine.
After re-playing Fallout New Vegas & 3 and my longing for the original hunger/thirst system of FO76, I desperately wanted to play in survival for FOLON but it just seemed like such a difficulty spike when I usually play on normal difficulty. Thank you so much for this (As well as listing the recommended mods) as I was about to give up on trying it which would have in turn ended up eventually putting me off the game all together. Now I can actually enjoy FOLON <3
Thank you! I love the mod but didn't want to use the version that changed the damage values too much. Very happy you added the other version that's still 100/100 :)
I don't often leave comments on mods, but then mods don't often salvage my entire playthrough.
Bit of context:
I adore Fallout 4's survival mode. Ever since I first played that mode, I haven't really stopped, and it has bled over into Skyrim as well. So loading up Fallout: London, there was no question which mode I was going to use.
Until I actually started playing through the game and had to install Cheat Terminal to bring back saves for all the times I was dying to bullet sponge BLOATFLIES. It helped, but I was still frustrated by the fact I even needed to do that in the first place. No shade against Cheat Terminal, of course. I also love Cheat Terminal.
Installed this mod and that issue is gone. Bless you, Climbatiz. You saved me from having to watch someone else playthrough Fallout: London in order to know what it was about. <3
P.S.: No real shade on the Fallout: London dev team either. Sure, the balance is a problem, in my opinion, but at the end of the day, it's a free mod by fans of the Fallout series, and I don't have any complaints elsewhere. (If you're reading this, devs, the music is amazing and whomever wrote it deserves a raise.)
Thanks for the good work. Any chance you can make a version that doesn't alter any of the values and simply re-enables the default save functions? London is amazing but a bit too prone to crashing to gamble with bed locations... Edit: additionally, essential companions. Noone, rational at least, wants to see the dog die.
sorry for the late reply, but in the mod main page i recommend people use this F4SE mod for save and other functions in Survival mode https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26163
Place the .esp in Fallout4/data find the appdata folder (usually hidden under Windows/Users/<username> enable hidden files in the "view" menu for windows explorer if you don't see it) from Appdata/local select the Fallout 4 folder In the Pulgins.txt text document that already exists, add a line under anything already there and place the filename of the mod you want to enable. In this case: Easier_Survival_Effects.esp Make sure the filename matches what you input into Plugins.txt In order to enable it, add an asterisk in front of the filename : *Easier_Survival_Effects.esp Save the text doc and close it.
Boomahkalaka, you've now enabled the mod.
As long as the filename in the fallout 4 folder and the line in plugins.txt match, your mod should be g2g.
when I use this i feel I have way too much carry weight. Without it i have 188 max and with it I have a little over 400 and with the console command I have a little over 300. Is there any way I can keep the weight debuff?
