    PLEASE READ:
I have uninstalled Fallout London for the time being in order to play Fallout Vault 13; other than this, I'm also pretty busy with making some videos for FOLON and will be playing FV13 on Livestream on Youtube if that's something you'd like to watch.

I don't know when OR IF I'll pick FOLON back up.

This mod is now in the hands of the community. If you'd like to continue where I started, please reach out in DMs with your Discord handle

If you like this mod, ENDORSE it!
    Thanks for playing it!

If you have suggestions or balance changes you'd like to see please let me know down below, this comments section will help drive development of the patch in the coming days

Cool idea but, sadly, even now (v1.02) there's a lot of issues with FOLON and guns aren't even the main ones: quest/dungeon design varies from iffy to terrible and though FOLON can't be blamed for vanilla jankiness, it is extra janky at times. Some of the factions & costumes are silly and things like postboxers are ridiculous. And the worldspace, though (unecessarily) big is too often samey then occasionally suddenly extremely different (untouched idylls and total nuclear horror-scapes all unbelievably in the same city, only separated by very unrealistic massive walls). Nor is it well optimised - for which they could've saved FPS simply by using vanilla weathers instead of the Vivid mod ones.

...I know, I know, it's free, and churlish to complain and all yet, but for a few sensible decisions and 3rd-party playtesting, it could've been a lot better at release and still sooner too (eg, there was no need to produce several new computer terminal types and telephones, etc). Maybe if they'd had a proper forum instead of hiding away in a dodgy Discord concept... Anyway, short of it is I too quit FOLON (for now at least).

Btw, I read here that Vault 13, though no longer being actively developed towards a full FO1 remaster, is to get some residual update/rebuild in the near future, to include as-yet unreleased and unfinshed content, to serve as a baseline for anyone wishing to pick up the challenge.

I have an entire video I could post on my YT about why I stopped playing FOLON, and it would share a lot of the same reasons you've listed here. All-in-all I didn't enjoy it and it's very clear it was rushed. The instability on launch was actually a result of precombines/pre-visibines not being finished. They released due to pressure and the fact that they could no longer make something up, since they already threw Bethesda under the bus once and everyone was calling their bluff about the pre-gen version. It doesn't even feel like a Fallout game, more like a silly Metro-in-Britain. That's all managements fault though, considering they refused to speak to anyone but game journos (I tried, believe me), and game journos don't care beyond what clicks their article can generate. Notice no one is discussing FOLON anymore. Regardless, I hope their planned foray into being an actual studio works out for them, I just hope the dono money they've collected makes it's way to some of the low-level modders on the project. They've always had a proper forum; I've always advocated they needed to be active and inform their sub-reddit; not everyone uses or wants to join yet another discord server. The fact that *none* of their documentation made it to the subreddit for installing the mod speaks volumes as well, and it's mostly because Reddit wasn't just an echo chamber where they could directly control what people were saying with no backlash.

Westminster was the exact part where I lost my immersion for good. DC is a ruined wasteland but somehow the heart of British government was untouched throughout the resource wars? I've heard some say "oh it was rebuilt" but that's equally stupid; why would there be any semblance of order in the post-war and why would anyone care to rebuilt *that* instead of a strategically important location? The bridges being toll-routes idea would have been a phenomenol idea to base a thriving city around; power and people flock to cross-roads like that. In fact, London itself began as a small market cross-road. In an irradiated world with little-to-no-order, why would anyone give a s#*! about Westminster? What would be left for the Gentry to rule?

And yeah, F13 was supposed to get a video from me until I read all of that. I'm just going to wait and see what happens in that regard.

Thanks for playing the mod, I appreciate it

Kudos for your friendly, well considered reply. I agree completely. Yes, aside from my quests misfortune I think Westminster was the final nail for me too. But as a some-time modder I do wish FOLON's folks well. Being a retro-gamer I've currently gone back to (prob my hundredth, of some modded sort) long Medieval 2 Total War campaign, of all things. Until that Beth "open world" itch returns...

Oh, didn't realise until now but I'd actually already watched vids of yours! Suggest you link your youtube to your nexus profile (unless I'm blind or it should be obvious given your profile name being the same anyway - I'm just not up on youtubers and social media etc).

Downloading this now, is there any chance in a future update of boosting the Lewis guns damage and maybe its magazine size? I understand why they decided 47 was the ammo capacity for the Lewis gun, because that's what it is in real life, at least for those deployed on the ground, but Lewis guns mounted to vehicles often had a different magazine with a capacity of 97 (would be best just to round it up to 100 in my opinion)
In any case, awesome mod and cant wait to see what you'll be adding!

I don't know what Vault 13 is.  Will have to look it up.
EDIT:  looks like it's just a demo not a done project.  Will have to watch some vids or setup a different MO2 profile for it when I get time.

Nice work! definitely needed these tweaks. just a heads up, looks like you may have forgotten to update unique weapons to match the tweaks you made to the non-unique versions

      Thank you!

Although just a note: As of today, I'm stopping work on the plugin for the time being, as I'm uninstalling Fallout London for a variety of reasons, including the release of Fallout Vault 13's demo. The project is now open source, but if someone wants to officially take up the mantle they're welcome to reach out and I'll give them rights to this mod page

Everything needs to be fixed. Because it will be stupid if you get shot with an HMG and run away wearing jeans and a T-shirt. A headshot with a .22 caliber can kill a person instantly. You just need to know where to aim. If there is no real balance, it will be a game for children with IQ 5.

I ended up just boosting my damage in GCM.  Sponges are no fun imho.  Crude guns are also quite weak.  They also use the .32 caliber.

Not just that, they got a insane spread issue, even when ADS its inaccurate as hell.

I'm unfamiliar with how to fix spread issues in FO4Edit but I can try, no promises unfortunately as it's mostly damage patching I can do for now

dont know if this would be covered by this mod but the heavy machine gun does the same damage in .303 as 5mm.

Holy s#*!, I hated the damage output for survival. Even when fighting turrets and robots, none of my weapons were doing anything to them and it felt like a ubisoft boss fight for each one. Thanks a ton, friend.

I haven't made any changes to difficulty, so I can only presume I'm on Normal

Rebalance is very much needed. If you don't minmax your build and take every single damage increasing perk - you can't really kill anyone with a gun. So far I have found only two semi-decent guns and both are random legendaries. It is an instigating mushket that can oneshot bosses from stealth, not always though and sometimes even taking drugs to increase damage is not enough. But other than for bosses it is useless, because it takes an hour to reload the thing. And the other gun is junkie's crude revolver, not a fantastic weapon, but it gets the job done against common enemies. It is also uses the most common ammo, and that is a huge plus. But, in order to deal decent damage, you need to be addicted to every single drug and dog food, and suffer all of the debuffs. I still need to hit the head in order to two- or three-shot enemies, and that is playing on normal. Hard difficulties are probably even more tedious.

Yep! Exactly why I made this patch, hoping to expand on it in the coming days as well
