This mod is pretty simple. There are a lot of good katana mods on the nexus however the majority of them are, in my opinion, too nice looking for a dingy post-apocalyptic setting or had nontraditional designs that I didn't care for. I had, for years, used ArekkusuStorm's Shishkebab Katana as a 'lore friendly' option (or at least one that felt visually cohesive to the game world). When I saw the Japanese officer sword in Modern Swords by Nyvertx and how it used the same basis while having a separate hilt and blade it gave me the idea to cook this up.
There's three blade options, and five color options for the grip. The blade options were somewhat based on the mod options for the Katana from Gun Runner's Arsenal back in New Vegas. The basic stats were based on the steel sword and all of the upgrades boost pure physical damage rather than adding an additional damage type to give it its own niche over that one. It starts appearing in leveled lists around the same time as the revolutionary sword and there's one unique variant hidden in the game world.
