I watched some of your vids, your honest thoughts on PAC ? must have huge draw calls and the precombines must have been altered.....how is the performance ?
That's still nothing. Check this out: PAC I quote: "In reality, I literally removed +200,000 vanilla overused objects of any kind from the Commonwealth and DLCs. Overall, the performance will be better. Also, I'm placing assets strategically, this translates into you'll have the illusion of a thick forest but using the right amount of trees etc."
Simply amazing! Downloaded all your overhauls. Work of art with nac x! My game totally graphical changed for the better! All we need now is a npc textures overhaul and the whole game would be complited. Great work as always mate thank you so much!
Thank you. So it looks good with NAC X, that's good to know. I'm continuing with the retexture, but I don't know if and when I'll also rework the NPCs. I redid the ghouls. They look like they came out of the oven.
i'm just using enhanced lights and fx, darker nights, nac x ,nac x prc 2 preset with vivid preset on ultra setting taa enabled, texture quality on ultra, shadow quality on ultra, lighting quality on ultra, bokeh dof, hbao enabled with lens flare, and sunlight alignement tweaks mod. i can show u some pics if u would like to see what my game look like . it's heavely modded tho +650 mods on stable 60 fps.
Thanks, actually I was just curious about the lighting mods. While modding I noticed sometimes a drastic difference in texture quality when using different lighting mods vs vanilla.
It's like those carpets that are purposefully multicolored so that it never looks dirty! LOL. But of course it makes sense, because the institute has no advanced janitorial plans, only simple janitors that never even reach the rooves.
Well, I didn't exactly have this intention when I created the textures, but I'm glad you like at least something . The Institute has a very sophisticated cleaning crew that is ready 24 hours a day to clean up even the biggest messes with weird humming mechanical brooms. Maybe some modder will catch on to this and create a mod for it that makes sense.
Nah, don't worry, I take everything with humor, I have limits too, but I don't get used to being offended, I understand what you meant. I just started to like that floor, it reminds me of good old sci-fi movies. Pettern, colors, material...
Know that your precious time has not been wasted! Your textures are just amazing, I'm glad they appeared, thank you for the new transformation of the game.
It's darker, more post apocalyptic sci-fi, and it's also for someone who plans to play as a great leader of the Institute. To make it interesting, there are mods for that.
Very nice retexturing work, however I noticed a few glitches, for example on a control panel, some bulbs clearly have a problem, I don't think it's intentional on your part.
The update is done, plus I added another immersion effect. Try using Google Translate for translations if you don't understand English very well. I think Google Translate translates French quite well.
Hello. I recently started modding FO4VR. (Came from modding skyrimVR) Not sure about flat fallout4 but VR doesn't support ESP's flagged as ESL's. They load but still count towards the limit. I noticed alot of your texture mods have dummy plugins that load the BSA's and was wondering if I unpack the BSA's and disable the ESP's will the textures and materials load ingame? It works w Skyrim but im not sure with Fallout. Your mods look sooo much better than Vanilla Fallout and I really wanna use them all. :) TY.
Loose textures in Fallout 4, unlike Skyrim, are not a good idea. You'll see significant stuttering if you have a lot of loose textures. You're better off merging them into one BA2. There is a 4 GB limit, but that only applies if you want to load it into the Creation Kit. In game there is theoretically no limit. I say that because I have heard that after 25GB or so people start to see texture issues, but that could be system to system, who knows for sure. I know I have one Textures.BA2 that is 11 GB and it loads without issue.
reazonozaer already gave you some information, but... there is a very simple and good program called Cathedral Assets Optimizer. It's on the SSE site, but it also works for FO4. You unpack my textures, put them together, when necessary, overwrite the older files with the new ones and repack them with the Cathedral Assets Optimizer. But if you want to go full scorched earth with loose textures, of course you can do that, it will work, but I don't know how the performance will be. Just one of my mods sometimes contains over 1000 textures.
Thx for the reply guys. I wasnt aware FO4 didnt like loose files so I learned something new today :). I have used Cathedral Assets Optimizer in the past with skyrim so think ill just repack everything into one mod. Again ty for all your work on these mods. They look really good ingame. In VR everything is up close and in your face so your mods r a godsend.
zzzrailzzz On some computer setups you see performance drop for example when you pull out a weapon that has 2K/4K textures - the game will freeze for a moment. Loading times are also affected. That's great that you've used CAO, I use it too. It's simple and reliable. Write what my textures and overall look are like in VR - research purposes. Thank you.
Thx for another one man! Though have to wait for nxt playthrough to see how it looks, since i moved the Institute from Boston to Oblivion in my current game^^
i'll check. i will also see if i still have a save on where the Institute isn't nuked already. Truly curious to see how it looks in game. Thx for the advice man ,)
Okay mate, i just did load an older save and checked and no kidding, it looks a LOT better than the original to me. It actually looks amazing the way it is now! And as someone mentioned here too, i also really like that this crazy bright lights at Institute are gone a bit now. Texture quality top! Seriously man, really nice and thx for yet another cool mod that once again improves the game!
You know, i also thought you might want to add an option for ppl being able to donate? This was the 12th or more mod i downloaded by yours? I can quite imagine the work put into it and i think i'm not the only one that would like to donate something to appreciate it. I mean, that's something ppl can then decide to, if they feel like it. Why not, when they want to return a favor in their own way. As me for example, i doubt i ever will do by mods. I don't think i will ever understand well enough how they work or how to create them^^
However, thx a lot man for another really cool mod!
Again, I'm glad you all like my mods. Believe it or not, it feels better than money to me, especially when I get messages about how I "protect users' eyesight" . I've been thinking about a DONATE button, maybe I'll do it someday. I'm 50 years old, I should prepare some kind of plan B in terms of income if my health goes out the window
You should do it, i mean, why not? So those who want or can donate do. When i think about what Bethesda asks for pathetic crap at Fo76 in their adult toys-r-us atomic shop, i feel donating some modders for their work they do in their FREE time is more than fair. Again, i think not everyone is able to and to have mods for free is awesome. But then i still believe there's some that would like to donate as an option to show appreciation.
Ofc having people enjoy mods gives also a something i guess. But still, imo not a bad thing to give an option to donate, for when ppl feel like doing ;) I would like to, not because i feel i must, but because i want to. After i downloaded now around 12-15 mods of yours, of which each i feel took obviously some time and even better, improved the game so much!
Do it man ,) Just a button that ppl can push when they feel like it. A lot of modders do. On Skyrim i did donate a few times. Either because i really liked a mod or like in your case, downloaded a ton of mods by a single person^^
I understand you, don't worry. I'm also in the same situation. I also sent money to mods that I really liked, I even redid/fixed the entire graphics of two big DLC mods because I really like them. I'll do it someday, for now enjoy the mods free of charge on the house . And thanks for the suggestion, I really appreciate it.

I also noticed this, it's not serious and in fact, it's only noticeable when doing an image comparison with and without your mod.

I'll wait for your update, thanks. :)
