    Can you make the settlers be a part of the settlement they're spawned in?
    Not with bat files.

    Can you make these into some kind of hotkey or menu?
    I'm working on a menu version that will pop up via hotkey and include lots of options for spawning things.

    Can I spawn men/women/children specifically?
    No, sorry. These pull settlers from the same pool as the beacon does.
    If you want a man/woman/child settler please see tip 1/2 in the description.

    Can I edit them with Looksmenu?
    No, they're regular settlers, not unique, so looksmenu can't edit them.

    Looks like a good and useful utility!

    Any chance we could get a function where we could select by sex?
    Also if we could get a function that spawned settlers will be unique coded, so they are amenable to show looksmenu presets, would be a big win.

      I have no idea what you mean by "unique coded"? It spawns a settler from the same pool of settlers the beacon would spawn them from. They can take looksmenu just fine :). 

      It's not possible to spawn specific genders via bat files. If you have the diverse series there's tonnes of ladies in there and you can use recycleactor to your hearts content. Easier if you tai before spawning so they respawn in place....To come close to what you wan't it would require a list of IDs and wouldn't be able to be randomised so you'd just end up with 100 txt files called "SpawnGirl001" etc. Plus your mods would be in a different load order to mine and if you sorted again it would change the IDs so it would be pretty awful and not user friendly at all, it would be a miserable experience for everyone. It takes literally 1 second to type recycleactor and you can press the up arrow to do it again as needed :).

      Thank you for the quick response and I am grateful for your mod and the work you do.

      Please allow me to respectfully offer a further explantion: Non unique coded NPCs when you use looksmenu on them will either turn invisible after a couple of moments, or by the time you leave and return into a cell will display grossly distorted faces.

      The vast majority of NPCs/settlers are not unqiue coded, which is where there are a number of mods to give you unqiue coded settlers; however all of them require a certain amount of extra typing and/or commands.
      I will not link them in here, as that might be poor netiquette.

      Been waiting on a mod author to crack this particular nut.

      Thats why I asked.
      Even so of course, your mod is good, has a lot of utility and deserves many downloads as many of us enjoy building settlements quickly.

      I will endorse as soon as the system lets me.

      So the second mod you linked has its own commands. Theoretically I might be able to make bat files for that....I will look into whether that's doable (since mods move around load order it might not be).

      The settlers spawned are the randomised settlers so I guess no they can't do looksmenu because they have facegen which looksmenu overrides. That was news to me, I thought they could LOL.

      Alright I loaded into the game to test, I definitely can't make bat files for these. It requires the mod ID in the commands, nothing I did worked. Technically I could make it but you'd have to edit all 12 files with the correct first two numbers each time you load in.

      HOWEVER. I am working on learning scripting and making a mod menu. I MAY be able to add these. I am unsure, please don't get your hopes up because I've never scripted before lol.

      PS: Heck just a patch changing  the "custom settler female" file of  "settler Builder" from 7 to say 14 or 20 would also answer the mail in a big way. 

      I went into the source of that file and found a 7 and changed it to 14 but the game CTDed. 
      Must have been the wrong 7

      Yes that would be super helpful, if you are willing, for the "custom settler female" optional file of "Settler builder" .
      To maybe 15 or 20 (female side only, I dont have enough presets for the dudes to go much over the default 7 of the custom settler male optional file anyway, and I suspect the same for most users) .
      I been trying for years to get someone to do that.
      But I feel a little guilty, in that this entire conversation has been distracting from your wonderful mod, on its own page .

      Bat files are kinda set and forget (forever) so this one is pretty much never going to need an update.

      I can't expand the custom settler because I have to edit 2 values over and over for each one and it goes through like 3 screens which sounds like it's not that much effort BUT I have ADHD and waiting for CK to load each settler then each menu then each submenu is like pulling my own teeth out. My real annoyance here is there's no reason to do all that fanfare anyway, that value is only to prevent you building more than one of each one. I just don't think that's worth it and tbh it feels a bit like policing....so I'm adding 20 of the generic ones in....keep in mind that if you edit those via looksmenu they will take on the appearance and you can place them 100s of times in the same save and they will look the same so I think that's a good deal. But anyone placed likely won't take on changes.

      I'll probably have it out in a couple of hours, I'm adding a SMM option that seperates genders because holy crap I hate how this mod is added to the workshop ha ha.

      I must congfess I did not quite understand what you wrote.

      Will the outcome still be per settlement, buildable female settlers that are unqiue coded?
      What did you mean by "generic"? No unique coded? or mixed human ghouls male female? or?

      Hey you should stop using the term "uniquely coded" because it makes no sense and doesn't explain what that mod is doing or help anyone understand what you mean <3.

      To be able to edit in looksmenu you want settlers that aren't lvlActor and don't come from templates :). So any settler that comes from the beacon is not likely to work because they're all lvlActors and many have templates.

      If you only want to be able to place one of each settler in the world you want to hide them after placement which is too much work for me personally, sorry. That mod doesn't disable them per settlement it disables them once their count is 1 or higher. I have added more for you anyway and they will be able to be edited but only once :).
