Thanks to member Alexiel0105, who provided me with a glitched game save, I was able to track down, in part, the source of the bugged dialogue. I say in part because the only problem that was apparent in the glitched save was non-vendor, non-companion, and non-quest related dialogue not working. Essentially, any random NPC I talked to would not respond, often gesturing as if there was supposed to be accompanying dialogue. Once I recognized this, I was able to spot it over and over again. I was able to revamp the dialogue quest so that NPCs were speaking to me normally, including those in the glitched save.
From what I gather, however, silent NPCs were not the only issue people were experiencing. I was not able to recreate any instances of the player starting random conversations with the diner dialogue, nor random NPCs answering in diner dialogue. However, I did experience the diner lines with diner employees any time I tried talking to them, even when they were not working. The changes I made to the quest should fix this as well.
Anyone who still has this issue after installing the update, I would really appreciate your cooperation in helping me further track down the source of the bug. Like I said earlier, the change I made fixed the glitched save, so my hope is it will eliminate the problem wholesale and allow you to continue with your own glitched saves.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
You may run into this when using this mod, but it is easy to fix:
Problem: The menu for the mod is the workshop but the items are Invisible Items.
Cause: This is not a bug. The BA2 archives for this mod were made for the latest gen of Fallout 4
Solution: It's actually quite easy. You need to convert the mod's BA2 archive files to the last gen version. There are several ways to fix it, but this is what I used.
It only takes a second or two, and there should be a notification at the bottom saying the file is patched.
Do this for the second one.
Note: The Patch button won't say Patch anymore, but will show the full name and path of the file you just converted. This is still a button though. Click on it and you will be able to select the second file.
That's it. The files are patched, and the mod's assets will no longer be invisible. It worked perfectly for me. Oh, and make sure you thank ChuckYufarley for yet another fabulous mod. This is peak modding and I for one really appreciate it.
On another note, quite a few of the new mods on Nexus might need this treatment to work, so it's worth learning how to do it if you plan to keep using the older gen of Fallout 4.
The diner looks amazing. Is there any chance you could deveop a build set using the pieces. I absolutely love the glass brick walls. The animation work is spot on as well.
i liked the idea of this, and even patched it and placed it in my settlement, but when facing the front of it, the right hand stairs has something idk invisible blocking the path, i have to jump to get up the right stairs, and i know it's this because when i pick up the building that invisible blockage goes away
I am running into an issue that the vendor is not selling any of the custom food items, I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue, or is it just me and may be some load order issue
Hmmm. I think it's time I dump the custom dialogue quest. It doesn't add much. Seems to be the root of the problem. The vendor not selling custom stuff happened to me, after I'd already updated the mod. I swear to God it was working before I updated it. But the reassigning the vendor worked when I tried it, so I figured it was a symptom of having changed the dialogue quest. Anyway, I'm going to scrap it and just use the regular vendor quest with the custom menu.
The new sub menu is there and all the new items, but don't show anything to build. All your other mods working good and i can see the sub menus and the new items. i want to endorse this mod, but i need first to really see the items at the menu. Happy new year.
GREAT MOD. but with 1000 mods already working together in my beloved old-gen setup no mod for next-gen is worth the risk. bethesda the sleeping giant only managed to divide an already thriving mod community. they should have stayed asleep.
tried it again and the result is the same and one more thing i forgot to ask how do i use the Backported Archive2 Support System mod?? i know i need to put it in the plugins folder of the F4SE i can tell that i did that but saw no result any advice would be appreciated
Wow,howI've been waiting for thismod, howgladI am!Very, verycool!! Iset up a cafein the Sanctuaryanddecorated it in the BostonLibrary. I reallylike it,thank you very much!

Download BA2 Archive Version Patcher
ChuckYufarley_DinerSet - Main.BA2
ChuckYufarley_DinerSet - Textures.BA2

Edit: Ignore, somehow I missed the collection.
