Could anyone help me with making a patch for this mod to work with West Tek Tactical Optics? As that mod has a targeting HUD option that only uses the vanilla targeting HUD.
Someone made this guide to make a patch with the Customisable Targeting HUD mod, but I don't know much about FO4Edit so am unable to adapt it to use with this mod. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I love this! Is there any chance of getting a patch for the sirius armour? It's using the default one which sucks so much.....or perhaps you could make your own craftable thing like what that armour has so I can "wear" it and have it work without needing to be in my power armour? :D (but preferably only when aiming otherwise all my conversations are glowy lol)
Also while I am here did you ever include the unhighlight once looted option? Also it would be super fab if you could highlight plasma and ash piles because I'm blind as hell and I lose those too ha ha. Actually I will blame that grasslands mod for hiding them ;).
For those who wish to use this mod without PA - Armorsmith Extended allows you to create a Targeting HUD mod for almost anything covering eyes slot - eyeglasses, masks, synth field helmets, etc. I modified my patrolman's sunglasses and am really happy with this mod.
I modified this mod a bit for personal use so that corpses stop highlighting when all the loot was taken, just like "Loot Detector - Scrapper Corpse Highlighting" - another well known mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4380/?) Should I share this modification?
For those who are interested after this long time - below is instruction.
Install mod as usual. Then download an archive with 2 files. https://1drv.ms/u/s!...wgKxnmGHjeDR1Gi Put both those files to Data directory.
Targeting HUD Enhanced.esp overwrites old file. It is an updated version I described in mod's forum.
Targeting HUD Enhanced - DLC Patch.esp has the following effect: it removes highlighting of robots after you loot them. Without it robots continue to be highlighted even after there is nothing on them. The reason for it - robots have inbuilt weapons you can not loot, but these weapons have intrinsic value higher than 0. This file makes those weapons cost 0 caps, so the robot is not considered to have anything of worth after you loot it. It works for most robots, but unfortunately, not all. Some (quite a few) robots remain highlighted. Some of the newer (read - Nuka World) ferals remain highlighted too. I couldn't find the reason for it, so I left it as it is.
Don't forget to check if both files are enabled in NMM, plugins tab.
I'm the mod author, and I approve of this "sharing" thing you're talking about.
No really, I love it when people mod my mods (so long as they credit me and aren't dishonest about what the mod does). If I have a good idea, and someone else has a good idea, and they get mashed together, well that can lead to a really goddamn awesome idea. ALWAYS feel free to use my work as a basis for what you're doing... but credit me. I don't get paid for this in anything but respect and headpats, AND I NEED MY HEADPATS DAMMIT. :P
Thanks! Your mod do just what i want, nothing more ( i don't want the fallout world look like a christmas tree), nothhing less ( stop shooting your allys and don''t play "where is waldo?" with MY loot).
Ok, problem solved i modded my Googles with FO4Edit and added the PA-Targeting HUD to them, no need for using PA anymore, simply perfect with the holster disable Feature...

Really interested in using your tweak that turns off the HUD whenever the corpses have been looted, but the link you provided is broken! D=
Is there anyway you could re-paste the proper link?
Thanks for your help.

A) found the vanilla targeting HUD useless, and
B) got tired of searching for corpses at night
