do you have to start a new game for the armor to spawn?

no, it gets injected into the level list the first time you load into the game with it installed.

You need the optional patch, and they will start spawning at level 24.

Adding to this post, just to clarify, this mod shouldn't add any new armors so it shouldn't conflict with either We Are The Minutemen, Far West Minutemen or the combined "We Are The Far West Minutemen" mods, right?

Sorry about that- Internet got a little funky and double-posted accidentally.

There should be no serious incompatibilities with any of those because this mod does not edit any vanilla records except for the optional npc outfit replacers. And even then if any of those other mods edit those same outfit records you can just choose which mod loads last and wins the conflict.

I hope it isn't too annoying for you to get the same question twice in the same day.

But could you confirm that there are absolutely no incompatibilities between your mod and We Are The Minutemen?  No patch needed?

    Thumba and Shreddah:
    This looks fantastic!

A question if I may ( and I hope it hasnt been asked elsewhere):
Is still compatible with game version .163 (aka Old Gen)?

    Thanks!

Yes it should work on both old gen and new gen.

Any way to edit the merchant and his pet to not get attacked by the turrets in Salem, or the settlers/population of Salem if a player uses a Salem Settlement mod (like Flourishing Salem - Overhaul)?

Uploaded a patch that fixes the issue with the turrets attacking the merchant.

Would it be possible to make a patch so this would work with ad victoriam bos overhaul or am i doomed to use either one. They share some textures making some outfit parts deep red colored making it unimmersive.

That's not really something I have any interest in doing, especially because it is an issue introduced by that other mod which I'm guessing edits vanilla textures.
