Is it possible to modify the formula for leveling? Maybe decrease the multiplier of 75 to 25; where the mod activates after level 50?
This: ΔXPn = 75 * (n-1) + 200
To this: ΔXPn = 25 * (n-1) + 200
Maybe even have it activate at level 1 or 2 so it takes like forever to level up?
My current character is at level 169 and it seems like I level about once an hour or less. And I would rather slow my progression than lower my level since there are many variables to consider. One being the high level enemies generated in game that will remain, even after lowering the characters level. Many NPCs scale to the player character level when a cell is entered for the first time and will most likely remain at that level when they respawn. The above is taken from the: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Level page
yes. command makes experience to level's minimum, so you can repeat level 1 infinitly when type dpl before level 2.
i don't know. in fallout4.exe, all actor be re-calculate their stat and level when player level up, so there may be no problem ... or not. i really don't know.
You can already lower XP gain with mods. I use Game Configuration Menu. The corresponding game setting is "fXPModBase". I set mine to 0.5, so I level half as fast.
In addition, I also set a level cap at 100, were all types of enemies are enabled in the game (actually happens at level 95). Works fine for me.
There are also mods for perk points. You can increase them, decrease them, change the distribution method. Perk points are not touched by this mod. If you decrease your level, you still keep your perks and perk points.
To use this on the console without further requirements, type: cgf "DecreasePlayerLevel.decrease" <number of levels> e.g. to reduce by 5 levels, type: cgf "DecreasePlayerLevel.decrease" 5 Be aware that your amount of hitpoints will only be updated when you save and reload the game.
i honestly wish there were a mod where i didn't need to use the console commands, like just using a MCM or holotape for this kind of thing, i just tried to use a mod that was supposed to reset all perk trees, but that didn't work, it was in the form of some thing you would craft via chem lab it was in the form of a stim pack that you would consume and it was supposed to reset the perks, but it didn't work, i guess i will just start over my game when i'm ready.
i also tried another one that was supposed to be a new game plus, but that i couldn't get to work, idk, i think i will just set my GCM mod to significantly reduce levels ups from now on.
i wish the perk system worked like it did in skyrim, so if you max out your perks you can make that perk tree legendary and start over with the perks you have left over, and if your gear makes you strong you may not need those perks invested in anything because you are too strong, but you have the option to use them or not, idk, i just think it was done better in skyrim.
