I wanted even more Fallout 3 feels with the awesome Fallout 3 Gatling Laser by arobot96 that I downloaded for my mod list blending FO3 and FO4 together. I chose to make my second mod after my FO3 Flamer Retro Retex. Uploaded this baby in Substance Painter, made some 4k textures using normal and height to add small details that I depicted from various sources but mainly the Fallout 3 weapon. Custom made decals, gold shiny rivets, RPM dial, rust, wear and tear as you'd expect from a beastly post-apocalyptic laser death machine.
Simple stuff here, this depends on the original Mod, and is easy to install via Vortex/NMM or simply drop them in the Data folder. Enjoy blasting' those radioactive abominations to dust (or skeletal remains if you use CRITS Gore) in new style and immersion!
*Photos are of textures applied in blender to the original mod's asset. This being said, the weapon will look better in game with Specular properly applied.
PS: I've also included a sound file I whipped up to replace the main firing sound of the original mod. Nothing fancy here either, just made a custom beefy sound and renamed it the same as the original's so it will overwrite it. Not sure if this will work as intended without some Edit or CK changes and I haven't tested it so feedback is greatly appreciated in the comments.
