Always loved Far Harbor's pine trees and now theres more. Any plans to add these trees to the commonwealth and possibly Nuka World? BNS and Another Pine Forest mod seem to crash my game now when using my personal made texture archive.
Not really, this was enough work to make my hand hurt for hours. However I made Some Trees https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32753 and Some Pine Trees https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/51889
I've been using your Some Trees mods for some time now and I can speak to how much they add to the atmosphere of my game. I like the Vanilla idea for aesthetics, we're in the middle of Autumn and while some trees are hanging on, the vast majority are ready for an approaching winter. For that reason I use Some Trees with the vanilla color add-on, and Some Pine Trees paired with A Splash of Pine Trees to flesh out the Commonwealth with a spattering of healthy trees to really sell that Autumnal vibe, while also giving you a hopefully crash free experience with a lot more pine trees around.
I find that Wildgrowth (Natural Grasses and Ground Covers formerly I think) really pairs well with this combo because it adds little patches of vaguely green grass here and there, which accent the pines and new living trees well.
If you want to make the Vanilla trees in the Commonwealth to be more "lush" while maintaining performance (hopefully preventing your crashes too) and the vanilla aesthetic, Make Like A Tree gives them a nice makeover and has options to add sparse autumnal leaves to them. I find adding yellowed leaves to at least one tree it replaces really adds to an autumnal vibe too while giving you a more lush look.
(As an aside, one of these mods replaces a Forsythia bush with a really green texture (Probably A Splash of Pines) and it looks out of place, so I usually replace it with either NXGEN bush or a separate Forsythia replacer with vanilla coloration. Whatever suits you.
I'd like to note that there is also a mod that retextures the vanilla pine trees in Far Harbor in a really beautiful way, and it would not only pair really well with this mod, making Far Harbor more lush. Can't remember the name right now but I've been running it for a while now,
Anyways, I know that's a lot but I run a massive list with SS2, AR2, FSD, Mutant Menagerie, etc all running side by side so using Vanilla Plus mods like this or Lightweight Lighting, plus performance mods like Upscaler, VRAMr, Baka ScrapHeap, etc are totally necessary for me to enjoy my playthrough without crashes or stuttering. When I read your comment I thought maybe you were having the same issues so I figured I'd throw my lot in and try to show you a way your Commonwealth can still be lush while maintaining decent performance.
Thank you thank you. You are right I am having a stutter frenzy that I just cant seem to solve. I will look into the performance mods that you mentioned and add them to my game. I noticed my game will stutter while walking in the commonwealth between cells. My fps drops maybe 3 frames but nothing that I think should cause me such a headache. I too have mutant menagerie and SS2 and cannot play without them so anything to help my performance is appreciated. I will try your lush mod combo to make my game look beautiful and your performance mods to rid me of stutter, thanks for your help
I finally had time to try Forested Far Harbor - Main - Uncompressed Files + Forested Far Harbor LOD = this works - "white parts" of LOD confirmed. It is very good, the atmosphere on the island is many times better. I found some floating trees. I also found a small incompatibility with the mod Heather Casdin - A Unique Companion Experience by llamaRCA - one tree is in the middle of the small shack, but it doesn't cause problems. performance is surprisingly good. This will definitely stay in my mod list forever. Thanx!
I'm surprised I didn't have performance problems: - B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI-CF - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor, 3400 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s) - NVIDIA GeForce 1060 6GB - 16GB DDR4 RAM - SSD Everything is on ultra settings - BethINI. When I installed A Forest, there were 4K textures in addition to 2K. I had a problem with FPS, but then I adjusted the textures to 2K and the FPS problems went away. I must also add that the new forest design looks natural, I did not notice a repeated pattern, everything is dense, overgrown, the player does not even notice where the wolves attack him from, only sounds are heard. I love it.
Hi... I have a problem, I haven't come across one like this before. I wanted to test the mod, so I tried "coc" for all kinds of exteriors, but: - active plugin - immediate CTD in exteriors - inactive plugin - no CTD CTD is not weird to me, but what is weird to me is that when I opened FarHarborTrees - Main.BA2 and FarHarborTrees - Textures.BA2 with B.A.E., it's empty - nothing (BSA Browser can open your BA2 files). "Should be compatible with older versions. Should work with any flora mod." I have the 1.10.163.0 version, of course I have FH. And one more question. It has 14 ITMs. Should we clean it? So...
When I checked the FarHarborTrees.esp plugin in xEdit, it said "dirty" and there were 14 Identical to Master (ITM) - dirty edits. I have the Forested Far Harbor - Main - ESL flagged ESP EDIT: - name: 'FarHarborTrees.esp' dirty: - <<: *quickClean crc: 0xEA62893F util: '[FO4Edit v4.1.5 EXPERIMENTAL](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737)' itm: 14

However the optional download, Uncompressed Files, works...

Also, I'm confused. What's the difference between this and Construct Water Towers?
Really?
