Your mod is a lifesaver! I use sniper rifles with my power armor, and it happens that hold your breath also uses the LALT button, which is also the grenade button which is also the drop-your-fusion-core-like-you-are-stupid.
I was seriously wondering if I wasn't going to be able to use snipers again or gingerly use the hold breath. When I first installed the mod, I already had the 3rd rank, so the mod didn't make any changes and actually caused my game to crash a couple of times when loading.
However, I loaded a save before the mod, used the console to remove the 3rd level of the perk, closed and re-enabled your mod and then used the console then give me the perk again and the mod works! Plus no crashes, *knocks on wood*
Why would you want to get rid of it? It's the best thing ever. Granted it took me like 5 attempts before realising that I was the one dropping the nukes and not piper's trigger happy finger.
You must play in god mode, or with absurdly OP edited armor, or on a VERY low difficulty setting, or you'd know why - it's nearly impossible to not kill yourself with them...
I play on survival - everything else is piss easy at my level (111).
it's a massive waste of cores and unless your playing a super OP char or have godmode on all the time the blast will defintly get you too. not to mention dropping a core when your just trying to slap someone with your gun....
I try to avoid power armor as much as possible and I don't see my character as the type who would ever consider investing in the Nuclear Physicist perk. But if I ever even have the slightest inkling of an inclination towards such things... I will definitely be using this mod.
I've watched Gopher blow himself up a couple times because of this fusion core ejection ridiculousness and listened to him rant about it in his Lets Play Fallout 4 series. I don't think I want to experience that for myself.
Cant Thank-you enough. I mean dropping a thermonuclear grenade at my feet when I run out of grenades is a perk? How So? Ah I know this must be the equivalent of a cyanide capsule so I don't have to worry about finding out about what Raiders and Muties do to their pray......yes that must be it!! No Thank-you Bethesda !! I'm sure I probably have hundreds of pounds of ammo left for my guns. So can I use that up first before I'm forced to commit suicide? If you use Power Armour and you are going the high intelligence/perception root this MOD is a must. Endorsed

Because how do they get in there while you are walking?
As a guess im betting its in the script for power armor, so shouldnt be too hard to snip out.
