Version 1.5 Released. - Added Armorsmith Extended version. - With AE, helmet is created at AE Bench under "Institute Outfits" and modable at armor bench. - With both AE and old Chemistry versions, colors can be changed at Armor bench. - Hood a bit darker.
Let me know if you have any problems with functionality. I was having a Nexus Mod Manager issue while trying to upload/test the new version.
If you'd like a Synth replacer, check out Synth Armor Redone, which adds optional glows to both black and white variants of armor.
Colors arent correct, etc white helmet with blue glow has a nasty green glow any fix ? Also i cant get a non glowing version, the fix in the post below didnt work for me. (NVM it works i just had to unpack it to get ht enon glow bars file then install it again.
To everyone who cant get rid of glowing bars, even if chosen non-glow version!
Vortex, no matter what u choose will instal default textures, that means u have to manually replace one texture in Game Mods Folder tab from Vortex options. If u want non-glow version simply go to \Optional\NonGlowBars\textures\ASPrototypes\R74 and copy PrototypeR_74_g then go to \Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\ASPrototypes and paste file u previously copied with agree to replace.
On the off chance that the author still monitors the comment section for this mod, anyone knows what causes the hood to just not show up at all? I can equip it and my character's hair acts as if there is indeed a hood underneath it, but the hood itself is invisible.
So I don't know if this is just me or not, I did not see a similar post below, but.....
Any of the glowing helmets I wear, beit black with white, or White with white.. black and red and white and red.. it does not matter. If I drop the helmet the colours are accurate. when I wear the helmet, they are all the same, standard synth white with a teal blue glow. What's up with that?
Also, regardless of which version I installed, beit the workbench or the chemistry bench, the helmet is not craftable. I'm presented with the "I don't meet the requirements to build this item" message and yet, I have maxed Science(3) and Armorer(4) AND have all the mats required.
Also, the hood on either version is not moddable nor is the player.additem method of getting the hood or helmet.I would LOVE to endorse the mod, if I can get it to work as advertised.
Here is an image of what happens.
I'm wearing the Black and White version, that's the white and white version on the workstation and that's the floating hood I dropped, cant pick up.
Oh and don't drop the hood. you can't pick it up and or store it. It's just their, hovering in the sky.
Great work tho, the textures look great. A suggestion for future updates ? Maybe some clean carbon versions to match some of the carbon armors. That would be awesome.
This is such excellent work, doobot! Just... so good. I think this is what the Synth gear should've looked like in the vanilla game without mods. This and your ''AS Synth Armor Redone'' mod really go hand in hand... both are great. (I really love those arrows and that plate saying ''R74'' with barcodes)
Very nice work sir! This is the best synth helmet mod I've seen ever. One thing that i might add though, could you please make the targeting HUD optional in an update? I don't really want it turning on every time I draw my gun.
Really wanted a synth field helmet with the green hood, and tried this for the craic and loved it. So I modified the texture to just cover the face, set the esp to cover mouth, beard and eyes and put the green hood on top;

Thank you! :)
Anyway I really like it, it made me drop my robot armor and assaultron helmet and that's saying something. Good work
Edit: NVM I figured it out. Flawless.
