Great mod, but for some reason in testing I can't hit npc's from afar. Its like the shots are going through them. NPC's also do the moonwalk when they use the weapon XD.

I'm getting the same, bullet only hits its target occasionally. ADS basically doesn't hit, hip firing from a foot away sometimes does lol

Love the mods tho, always excited to see a new Dak mod!!

I suspect this is the vanilla 308 bug - perhaps try the 308 fix from this mods' optional files HK G3 Family at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

It's something to do with .308 projectiles hitting the weapon's geometry (or maybe it was the ejected casing?) the suggested fix definitely works, I can confirm.

Yep, the 308 fix did indeed fix it, thanks Clemdiddly :)

Several mods change the vanilla .308 casing model to Ammo\308\308Casing.nif instead of Weapons\HuntingRifle\Casing308.nif. It could be to fix this issue. Munition's optional vanilla esp and True Damage make this change. I don't know for certain that is to fix the problem.

Same. And no, it's not the 308 thing.
      Including the moonwalk. Really?

Yep can confirm this weapon does suffer from the .308 casing bug.
What happens is the bullet projectiles hit the shell as it ejects due to broken collision of the casing.

It oddly enough affects only specific weapons.
I first discovered the bug when i re-chambered to .308 the Handmade Rifle from Nuka World and tried to scope shoot with it. My shots didn't hit the target and made sound as if hitting something in front of me and i didn't know why.

Same exact thing is happening with this weapon.
I dug up the backuped .308 casing nif with fixed collision box i had on my USB drive from my old mod load order and violla it fixed this gun aswell. It now hits it's targets properly.

So yea sadly this is a vanilla issue and not really Dak or Pig's fault.

      EDIT:
Here is the fixed .308 casing mesh as alternative fix to the one from HK G3 Family.
It should make the gun functional again:

you don’t need to know how to write a single line of code to make a mod/patch. the only “coding” is in normal modding is scripting, which isn’t relevant for TR patches

will inform myself more, but even then, i assume there must be some animating to do, which i also have no clue on how to do, (im a photographer, i don't even know what programs would i need to use) but im willing to learn! will try to inform myself better as soon as i have some more free time, since i clearly lack from any form of info about the topic.

It uses .308, but I'd still recommend using munitions a it fixes the .308 casing bug

It is possible to adapt the tactical reload patch for Doombased's FAL to this one by changing the WPNReloadReserve filepath to the same directory as this one.

If you drag the character folder out of the DLC04 folder, rename FN-Fal to DakFN-Fal, Rename FN-FalForegrip to DAKFN-FalForegrip and drag it into the main DakFN-Fal folder in order to match the filepath for the reload animations in this mod, then apply the keyword using tactical reload ingame switch, it will function.

Oh hell yeah this is what I was looking for. Have you noticed any issues?
I tried this very thing with ThingsM4A1 ans while the reloadreserve animation worked, all the weapons moving parts exploded out during the animation

no, as this mod uses the same animation set, they all correspond, you might have to go into the esp and add the pistol folder to the keyword (How to add a mod weapon to the Framework at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)), but i didn't have to when i tried it in march
